I think the analysis is spot on. I've been saying to all my other fight enthusiasts, Pereira is big. We all know 6'4-6'5, 200ish people, but Pereira has got some different genetics going on. He's f#$king big, and most of it is muscle. So like Izzy said, "Good Luck".

I dare the UFC to do a second weigh in at ringside with a 3 cameras on the scale:close, wide, and medium. It would show the massive re hydration that some fighters can benefit from versus others that reside closer to the fighting weight. You can see the size difference that some get to employ. It's fair according to their rules, but it would be nice to see that detail. They should not be afraid to hide it. I think it would help in the long run.

How he made 185 twice in the UFC I'll never know. There is no way he should ever do it again. 205 isn't even going to be easy. This is why it was so spectacular the way Izzy beat him. Them meeting again one day at 205 would be thrilling.

I don't see how Pierra cut to 185, cause he still looks lean and doesn't have any big muscles or fat to cut 45lbs from. That is insane to think how he made 185 and didn't die! He should be able to fight a whole lot better at 205 vs 185 since he is only cutting 25lbs, which is still a shit load of weight to cut. Idk how these guys cut that much weight period, but then go fight for your life the very next day! It doesn't make sense, these guys are so freaking tough man, just weight cutting then fighting the next day shows they are all tough as hell! I'd like to see weight cutting changed to only allowing to cut like 10lbs or something, no huge cuts allowed. They need to regulate it somehow.

Alex struggled with the only grappler he fought during his title run at 185. We all know he got fast-tracked and didn't fight any of the killers in the division (Vertori, Whittaker, Cannonier, Costa, Ghastelum, etc). So, naturally we doubt his ability to stop takedown attempt and to get back up when taken down. His lack of depth in MMA is about to be exposed if he fights Jan.

How many guys have you competed against with abs? This guy is pretty much the default guy in wrestling at least. People do not understand the concept of pressure in a fight, or of work. Can Alex work that hard? Not at 185. Can he do it at 205? Remains to be seen. I would be disappointed if Glover did not exaggerate a bit about his fighter. But Jan pretty much destroyed Israel, so the math is perplexing.
