The only reason the Giants were a playoff team in 2022, was b/c of their schedule. They played a lot of weak teams, and they got lucky and beat a few good teams that had bad games. In 2022 the Giants didn't make the playoffs b/c they were a good team.

I’m glad he mentioned the 2 second mark. Good QBs either throw any route with touch and without starring down the target, take off running or move position to extend the play. This helps lines, weapons, and production. Yes things weren’t perfect, but Jones inability to look like a natural QB and make simple decisions and throws can’t be excused. Each backup moved the offense better with less or the same weapons. Kafka was also being left out there to succeed or fail. This is the last year chance for Jones so Dabes is calling and he’ll move on if needed.

This what I noticed and became to believe about the ‘22 season and driving the direction of ‘23. Dabes wasn’t excited about his evaluation of Jones and let’s Kafka get experience while he adjusts to the job. Evaluation mode. Offense is hiding QB and RB’s weakness in the scheme, while showing off the staff’s capabilities. Close games are won, record is better than expected. QB and RB money hype is getting loud. Game plan is drastically simplified, QB and RB are left to sink or surf and are exposed, losses follow. Ranking still has us with division hopes. RB denies contract to bet on himself. Expectations arrive and challenges are failed.

I don’t think Neal not working out will be a stain necessarily. They’ll hang their hat on his injury.

Wow. He doesn’t realize Wink did have input and KT was the reach. He doesn’t like Hard Knocks because they asked the opinion of the guy hired to bring a new defensive scheme. Has he never heard “Let me pick some of the ingredients”? Parcels would curse this guy out the building. He acts like they handed him the draft card and said “Get yourself something nice”. They already had plans for a defender trade and focused totally on offense first in the draft.

Daboll a bad coach.... I don't think so but it is yet to be determined. He didn't have a good season last year but I think he is well aware of that and very capable of learning from mistakes, so this is an important year, only his third as a head coach. Go Giants!

I like the assessment of Daboll. He's not a bad coach and hopefully can be a very good one. But he has a lot to learn. I've said before that NYC is not always a good first coaching job given the pressure.

Evan Neal, a bust?..... quite a few fans think so but one important factor is that he has struggled with injuries and now he's beginning this year on the PUP list.... it's a problem.

If you’re talking about why a QB isn’t successful and more time is spent focusing on pointing at everyone else, besides the also high drafted RB, you’re not bringing the equal evaluation or full context.

‘22 breakdown continues😂 Second half of season only productive against the bottom defenses, beat the Colts. Sneak into Wildcard, productive vs Vikings again but win. Lose to Philly badly 3rd time in 4 weeks. Failed when expectations and challenge. Owner is sentimental, Jones had more positive effects on game situations, gets paid equal to 13th ranked QB, RB demands to be overpaid from previous offer and production. Both questionable overall ability and health has QB and RB in prove it situations again. Neither make it. RB still wants Top 3 level offer made initially and is scorned when it’s not, even when market is willing to be matched the decision was the closest rival. Owner feels sick after backing who he thought was a lifer. Still sentimental to old traditions and kept an ugly streak going.

Not sure this guy has much insight or anything to offer. He erroneously speaks about Schoen "not having a plan" then ties that thought to moving on from Barkley... Huh? Not dropping big bucks on an aging RB - who wasn't JS's draft choice to start with - is PART OF the plan. Adding premium talent to the DL (Burns) is definitely part of JS's plan. Look at Buffalo's construction! 🙄

I like Hard Knocks. Of course some of it is staged. That’s true of all Hard Knocks shows. I don’t think it’s funny. It’s gotten good reviews.

He’s doing a bunch of assuming and having an opinion. He’s focused on his dislikes instead of understanding or researching what’s going on. Versatile players and talent have been part of the plan day 1 of this regime. What’s this guy do again? Research and analysis?
