@Alex Rüdinger... Great playing! Great review/explanation of your setup! The icing on the cake... The Maryland State Flag on the back of your chair matching your studio monitors. Very subtle, yet effective and classy. Nicely done, sir! From a fellow Maryland native and musician. 👌
All around brilliance tech info explained comprehensively killer examples and just a joy to hear your playing constantly evolve VERY inspiring Thanks Rudy
I dont understand how you are so fudgeing amazing and are still playing in your basement. I have learnt so much from your vids, I hope this whitchapel shiz progress's you to god tier drummer, because thats where you belong dude, serious. Much love from the UK. long time lurker, full time fan.. peace out and never stop your dream man x
I am a huge fan and I love to hear about great gear. I appreciate the fact that all of the Rudinger videos have the info for everything down to the heads. Thanks!
Revisiting this because I’m in a position to start building a small home studio to demo drums. Thanks for being an inspiration since to popped up on the internet (I still want to see those Neuraxis tryout videos again 😂)
Extremely well done! Awesome drumming! Stunning sound quality, despite the room's limitations! Thank you also for listing all your nice cymbals. As detailed as you were about everything else, I am shocked and saddened that you did not list which microphones you used, and where, because choosing the right mic, and placing them well, are way more important than choice of preamp.
They're amazing, man! Reviewed them with Glenn on the SMG channel. Need to save my pennies as these would be my next interface purchase. Thanks for the video Rudi. \M/
great video, just ordered the iD44 a few days ago with the 880 in mind for the additional pres for later on and now coming across this video discussing the equipment i have/am getting and what i'm planning to do definitely makes me feel a helluva lot better about the purchase!
Let's hit 50 likes to this comment for Alex to make a comprehensive video about drum recording for newbies from scratch! What should one have (gear/software) and know to start making his/her drum videos? Thanks for this video Alex!
Can we just sit and enjoy this take? I mean, come on the studio quality is awesome But that performance… I am pretty sure, you could record that on a matchbox and still be proud of the Sound…. Great respect man Best regards Thomas
Man, your cinematography is lookin hella dope! Getting them slider shots in and some nice rack focus... And a sick video in general btw. Stoked for more material from you man!
Hallo Alex, geniales drumming, WELTKLASSE!!! When you monitor live, do you use a processed mix in your in ear monitors or unprocessed mix? I ask because I would like to know if there is any noticeable latency when using EQ and Compressor plugins while tracking and monitoring the drums live while playing? Danke vielmals und alles Gute weiterhin.
Hey Alex, I'm doing this Audient iD44 upgrade as well to add more input channels, but i'm not gonna get the ASP880s, I have already some Presonus Digimax D8, do they work as well?
Hey friend it's Ross Shimer I just got some great menil classic coumstom extreme heavy metal series my favorite is the 20 inch ride I had a great day on the drum set just pratice my new set up is 14 inch meni extreme 18 inch chain extreme 12 inch splash classic coumstom 20 inch meni extreme 16 inch meni classic coumstom crash and a 18 pst trash crash I love menil classic coumstom extreme heavy metal series because the ride sings for days I love the 14 inch hats and the 18 inch chain as well as the 18 inch crash
hmm.. a little disappointed with the snare raw sound.. not much top end.. in the mix a lot is added.. but I would have thought that the Audient should be able to have more top end without plugins?.. but its hard to hear when the raw signal is a mix of many mics. Great drumming as always!
Hi! Thanks for sharing your sounds! I’m getting started in recording drums! I already have great 4. Mics. But I’m using iPad Pro instead of a computer. I’m still undecided between I’d 44, and the clarett 4Pre usb... I’m into dirty sounding drums, but I love the detail and separation between them... I’m just wondering whic interface would get me closer to the sound I’m looking for with minimal processing... do you have any advice on this subject? Thanks 🙏
Great video! I have a question: how do you connect those three pieces together? What unit is a master clock? I know that you have to connect asp880 to the input of the id44 via adat cable, but what about synchronization?
what do they say of those who go to the cross roads and ask Satan for talent ? they say that the price for this talent is the Soul and once sold its gone forever , seems to be the price the children today will pay just for Attention .
