Yeah, same. I mean, he’s still alright to marry as a girl but I feel like it’s much more enjoyable as a guy because it makes his story much more meaningful
@@yissibiiyte shorts are a term they use for underwear in countries other then America, which is why Lewis is really embarrassed about his ‘shorts.’ It’s because it’s his underwear. Hope that clears that out :)
I'm secretly watching this in the school bathroom and I had a very hard time not exploding in laughter at "if alex doesn't think a woman can throw a football he's obviously never seen pam on the sports pitch"
I once made a save just to go through group 10-heart events, so I saw all 10-heart events from all of the bachelors and was a huge moron in every of it. Than I got to Alex's 10 heart cutscene, my favorite boy in the game, clicked second option rejecting him AND THE GUY STARTED TREMBELING OMG. I was crushed together with him thinking «no-no-no, I'm so sorry», that was the worst thing I ever did in this game. Except divorcing Sebastian and kicking him back in his basement lol.
If I’m honest Alex and Hayley seem very queer coded, they’re much better marriage partners if you’re the same gender and just really give off those vibes
@@S3cr3t_Qw1rtzmakes sense since Haley is that girl that every lesbian has a crush on and Alex is that one jock bully that the gays like me have may or may not fantasised about
About the pictures on Alex's wall. I've had some talks with a few psychology friends of mine, about the difference between desirable and empathetic. A person could theoretically enjoy art of someone of their own gender, as they desire to be that person, instead of being with that person.
‘Yeah.. grandma I just really look up to them.. the pictures are for inspiration.. oh no I’m just helping him become better at sports, I’m his trainer.. yeah’
I married Alex 3 times now and never once have I talked to George the day after the wedding. I did it this last play through I did and George says “I just can’t wrap my head around two men getting married…it’s unnatural.” But Evelyn thinks that farmer and Alex are perfect for eachother 😭😭
i love Alex. i have never married him in game but i always max his hearts out. a few of his later cutscenes are heartbreaking. he's a good kid. ❤ i generally marry Haley who, it turns out, is a helpful sweetheart that will do anything for her spouse. love Haley, too. No matter her and Alex are such good friends. (yes i am aware that i am talking about pixel game NPCs like they are real people)
Instantly gravitated towards Alex, I think cause he was the "straightest" choice at the time lmao and I was still coming to terms with my sexuality. I still have a soft spot for him even tho I never married just dated him, seeing his dialogue for the male farmer made that grow. Idk I know most people hate him but I still think he's sweet :)
Alex makes me sad because no matter what he will never unlearn his toxic masculinity. Even if he stops being a jerk, he will always have a complex where he feels he has to be the best husband in the world.
the parts about him happy about having kids and swearing not to be like is father is just the best though! also afaik hes one of the few romanceable characters that talk about having children with the farmer😊
Alex was my first romance and he was the reason I started installing mods. He's dumb and rude at first but I think he's sweet once you start dating and all.
Hehehe, Nino’s impeccable comedic timing. 😂😂 Alex is definitely a character I didn’t give enough credit to in the beginning. I do wish his 14-heart cutscene was more about him finding a new career passion, but it is still sweet that he helps create a nice space for male bonding in the town. ❤
it's funny how it seems like a majority of sdv spouses are "love them or hate them" especially with alex, haley and shane...i've pretty much never heard people be neutral towards any of them, they tend to be your favorite character or your least favorite character i personally don't even like alex at all, mainly just because he seems to only really be interested in sports which i'm not, so i'd just never be able to relate to him, but honestly i can see why people like him, and i really am into his story arc if you marry him as a guy, although i wish he would have learned to be less misogynistic as well instead of just the internalized homophobia thing, but either way it's a pretty good story, even if i still think there are some things that could have been done better
When I first played Stardew, the moment I saw Alex, I had to marry him because HIMBO ENERGY OKAY? I'm a girl farmer and NGL my high school self didn't realize how sexist he was.
I like Alex as a bachelor for the male farmer, but I feel like he's lowkey sexist as a bachelor to a female farmer, which is kind of annoying. I wish he showed more character development towards the female player, or just not be sexist at all.
I remember when I first started playing this game, I was set on marrying Sam but when I found out about Alex’s story, my plan was instantly ruined! I don’t regret it tho, he was such a sweet husband 🥹
Alex is openly sexist and never changes his views of you play as a girl, just because "he is gay so therefore cannot so anything wrong!" Doesn't mean he is excused for having outdated views. Like I get that he lives with old people but cmon, he has the internet.
Never changes his views??? He literally has all the same character development, and apologizes for being rude to you in an early heart event. He is the best husband and I’ll fight for his honor
