It‘s not clear, Ikki was way more chaotic and I couldn‘t understand, what he was trying to say with his dance. Alex was well structured and had more to say with less „big“ movement. It‘s about quality not quantity.

Yeah I feel Ikki came with passion each set and Alex’s last set was weak in comparison to what has been shown prior in this competition. Respect to both dancers though.

For me Ikki won this battle. His energy was still up and his moves were exciting to watch with his musicality. Alex seemed to tell a story but lacked excitement. He was boring to watch.

After the judge battles, 3 dancers go through to the semifinals. So there’s a slot for one extra dancer who gets picked by the dancer without opponent. Gonzy brought him back.

You have to check the sdf format, begins with top 12, then top 6 and then they're three winners that battle against the judges, after that there are three winners again, the first two winners battle each other, and the third one choose one that was eliminated in the first round, gonzy could've pick hisoka, luciano, dimension or nickel yudat aswell.

I was also a bit confused. One moment I watch him lose to Odillon and then I see him in the final. I kinda figured that someone called him up, but I wasn't sure. Thank you for the explanation

Agree. Ikki should have won. If not deaf, they were definitely blind.

Alex is incredibly technical. Ikki is more fluid and creative while Alex is a master at control and precision. He has reached a level of dance that is so hard to replicate on a technical level that the judges must acknowledge it. What he is doing is more difficult overall than what Ikki is doing. Don't get me wrong though, I thought Ikki was great!

Ikki does basics really well. Alex is on another level, he innovates the basics to suit his own play within the music, its something else.

I still don't get it as I don't know much about hip-hop so I actually judge on how nicee and appealing it look. I don't get what Alex does. It looks a bit boring and I don't get the straight arms and legs. I watched what he said on Beyond the Moves about choosing to dance with his energy reserving style. I just still dont get it, but i take your explanation. Maybe I will grow into it eventually. I sure hope so.

From a technical standpoint, however, I think Alex’s performance on the rounds may have fit the songs better. Particularly in the third round, I think Alex has better groove and flow. It’s certainly a hard battle to judge, and I can’t say who I’d pick overall personally, but I get it either way.

Agree with pretty much everything you said, but lots of experienced dancers don't worry about "finishing" their round. They know they can stop when they've made their point.

Alex is my favorite dancer of all time and I agree with you.

i couldn't disagree more. ikki is much more fun and easy to watch with better killoff moves, but alex has a precision, buildup, cohesiveness, and flow that just can't be matched

Learn to dance? You don't know me. Hip hop is life and I've probably been dancing longer than you've been on earth.. Alex was dry and the moves I've seen way to much. You have to move with the best make the song yours captivate the crowd and ikka did that. "Learn to dance!" Silly rabbit TRICKS are for kids!!

It was not his moves that made Alex win , it was his timing with the music and how he placed different moves on the track like a beautiful dish and all the moves were connected and were placed on the music , it was like a story . Ikki was as good as Alex because he explored more of his body and his groove and rawness was also amazing. So it went down to the judges. But this placement concept that Alex uses with simple moves is really tough and very exciting at the same time so I think thats why Alex won according to judges , but yes I connected with ikki much more than Alex as he was dancing and was also not loosing his flow .

Lay off crack my guy, Alex won this battle at 1:11 that’s the first round.

Alex did this 3 times in 3 different rounds and still humiliated his opponents lol

I think Alex does a lot of really beginner-level breaking footwork that seems exciting in a freestyle battle. Plus that 2nd round he kept his hands in his pockets again doing some pretty basic glides & such. Kinda low energy throughout. & letting crowd noise decide a battle is weak regardless
