ALEX THE CAGE vs LARRY LES TWINS SUBSCRIBE HERE: bit.ly/2xJkGoC WINNER: ALEX THE CAGE Judges: NELSON, BATALLA, KEFTON DJ: NEP & ZEENOM Video by / mo_tion.steph
say what you want about the twins but i respect them very much for always staying part of the hiphop community no matter how rich or successful they got. They are literally living the dream of every dancer, they don't have to compete or prove anything at this point.

Yes exactlly! Larry has very good musicality and can kill beats whenever he wants , he can even do basics and dance with flow like Alex does ,but he wants to show more so hee does what he does , yes Alex is great too but in my opinion Larry is definetly better than him !
I think dancers know that they can't reach him so they talk down to his technique... if you can't entertainme us like Larry so don't create hip hop rolls against him
Great battle from 2 of my fave dancers, I'm glad we got to see this match-up. Larry brought the fire from the start and Alex made his last round look so effortless, genius shit.
I'm ngl I think the crowd just doesn't like Larry, Alex was hyped up for doing an attempted isolation in his shoulders on the last round but when Larry did a whole wavy with his foot and ankles alone ppl were silent, I think this battle definitely was biased and judged unfairly
This whole comment section is basically a war between the fanboys and the hip hop purists, and the people just enjoying it for what it is caught in the middle 😂
@@2000ichero didn’t say anything different. I actually said on another comment that I personally thought that Larry edged that 3rd round but it comes down to personal preferences at this point. I wouldn’t know more than Batalla and Nelson either anyway 🤷🏾♂️
Sigh! It always surprises me how Larry loses. It's not debated because his status or name, but because the man is a master of the dance. Alex is good, very skilled but he just doesnt really excite me for long, his style gets repetitive. This is a personal thing and as I said the man is skilled, no doubt, the rest just no way he beat larry in my eyes...but that's just me.
@@arianhamidizadeh721 which just further emphasizes my point mate...with larry look no further...he is the best at all 3 categories you just presented.
Agree with you on the first statement and the response. N the crowd always goes silent for Larry and they hype up small things other dancers do, it’s like everyone there wants Larry to lose. I’m surprised they still battle because at that point I’d feel so hurt by the people I’m trying to inspire and entertain i probably wouldn’t look back. Maybe that just makes them great people as well. Alex doesn’t excite me at all, I like wow factor and when I watch him dance, he’s good but, I feel like I’d be able to do most of what he does. When watching Larry or Laurent, that’s something you may never see anyone do and or do it as well as them.
@@attie.77 that’s kinda how I see it too! I try to show respect to all dancers, But yeah same here, I see the skills of les twins as unique and two in a million, very rare. But Alex is your general hip hop bounce style dance that I feel like most competitors show. And while I do think he did good for a round or two, nothing excited me or WOWED me personally either, where as Larry was, doing slow motion moves, using his legs to hit beats, using the others guys props when he shot his hair band back at him, and just being entertaining all around. The judges have to be against les twins at this point.
I agree with most of the comments... Alex is good, but I wasn't impressed, also, I've seen better from Larry... that being said... Larry won, hands down
Les twins have reached a point in their dancing careers where it doesn't matter if they "lose" anymore. They just having fun doing what they love. It's still going to be them who we come to see.
don’t you think Larry is just trying not to crush a much weaker opponent than him? I really respect him for that. Larry would have easily won the battle even with one leg.
So no one talked about larry sending a shot from the bracelet at 4:02 💥💥 ... for me larry deserved to win that 3rd round ... but Man Alex is a legend too ... on of my favourite dancers as well ... respect for both legends on this amazing battle 👏🙌

Coming back to this battle, I love how it's POLAR opposites of approaches and application in their style. I remember the twins were fresh off a Hennessey tour so it's sad to see we didnt see then at full strength. HOWEVER I loved this battle, this is when I really discovered Alex the Cage, and learned how lethal his approach is, it's like a slow cooker. It's like a chip that has flavors that hits you in waves🔥🔥
@@eduardosantoscolodel8742 it is what it is, I was one of em. Matter fact what's crazy is I remember I saw a ig story someone put out during this battle where people were mad Larry lost a round and booing, and Laurent grabbed the mic and said that same thing, people don't appreciate other styles even dancers shit is too rigid.
This battle was tight, big ups to Alex and Larry but that track played in the fourth been out for YEARS now...... Tellax where are you at with this track or did he even make it!!!!??????????? RELEASE THE TRACK PLEASE!!!!!!
Insane that the last round's track is still not released, It was played at fusion concept 2019 and it's still not out 2 years later, I hope they release it soon :(...

We all know Alex is incredible, he's also won many a battles. I think he greatly benefits from the fact that his style allows him to conserve energy in competitions. He can effortlessly glide on a beat without putting his ligaments in constant compromising positions. I also think Larry took Round 3, but it was great seeing each set from both dancers. 🤘🏾
great observation, i definitely agree. Other dancers have similar styles but they don't groove and/or have the groundwork like he does. I think Larry took round 3 as well
Agreed. Just my personal opinion, i also think Alex’s style is less “risky” in terms of moves to hit the beats. Some moves of Larry require absolute commitment on the beat, when it hits its amazing but when it doesn’t or when he miscalculates the beat , it obvious that it was a mistake. Its more high risk high reward but definitely more fun entertaining to watch, whereas Alex’s style allows him to recover easily and flows to the next section. He only pulls his power moves only when he is sure.
This was an epic battle! Both masters of their craft, I loved Larry’s 1st round his unique animation style is what makes him great imo. Alex 2nd and 3rd rounds were silent but deadly, which pretty much sums up Alex, the way he flows with the music is just beautiful. I’m a fan of both dancers, and it was cool to see two legends go at it!
I NEED the tracklist. Anyway GREAT battle, felt really inspired and motivated. It really could’ve gone either way and I was definitely not disappointed
Really enjoyed the diversity of styles in this battle. I think Alex wanted to test the waters and see how Larry will respond in the first round, therefore he displayed rich vocabulary and insane flow (as usual) because Larry can lack in those aspects but Larry's first round wasn't to be messed with. When Larry combines animated concepts, example: 1:57 - 2:13 and when he combines it with energetic movement and power moves all in one round he can be very very hard to beat. Larry took round 1 comfortably. Round 2, approach and the response I got from Alex was similar to the one he gave against Ben, when he saw that Larry brought his A game in round 1, he went in with floorwork, played with lyrics, and had well-executed power moves. Larry's round was solid but didn't touch Alex's second round. Alex took round 2 comfortably. Round 3, really weird not gonna lie. Alex looked kind of lazy here, didn't display half of the vocab he usually does and the round just felt like it was cut short. Larry also didn't go in this round, which surprised me because I thought that he would showcase aspects that Alex lacked in this round. Although I prefer Larry's round over Alex's here, nothing specific was I impressed with by both of them, I understand the tie in the 3rd round. Round 4, I see it being much closer than the unanimous vote and comments. (preferences I guess) Alex's groove from 8:25 is why I appreciate him so much, he can use 1 foundational move and dance for 10 minutes straight with different variations while changing rhythms accordingly. But the sequence at 8:48, even though it was crazy technical, felt too choreographed. The way he went to the ground, stopped and started the sequence is what made it look that way but the way he ended it was crazy at 8:53. Very strong round from Alex. Larry's entrance with signaling the stage being his house and "cutting Alex's head off" was dope and you could really see the battle mentality from him. The way he hit those basses at 9:19 will probably be overlooked, his shoulder/chest isolations are so clean. Everything from 9:40 till the end of the round was fire, flow was on point as power moves and that reverse groove. That woah was also hard af. In my opinion, of course, this round was very close but Alex's round was more consistent and he sets up his wow moments perfectly by building from a basic groove to more advanced ones while Larry kind of has wow moments at random. Overall, very good battle. Wasn't feeling that third round tho. I thought Alex would win without having to go 4 rounds since this was the Semi Finals, considering the fact that he is way more active in the battle scene and has much richer vocabulary. Plus I've seen Larry go full out in the battle before. Fair play to Larry for putting up a competitive battle, just wish he was labbing and practicing more because his style is so unique and clean, if he was living the way he lived in 2010 who knows how strong would he be..but again, we all need to be paid at the end of the day so I don't blame him and Laurent for doing commercial things. Respect them for still battling at street dance competitions even though they don't really need to. Alex on the other hand, can't believe after all these crazy rounds, he battled Majid like it was his first battle of the night. He really is on another level when it comes to battling.
Thank you for this comment. It clears up things for me who dont know much. I also wish Larry was his usual energetic self and more battle ready and rested. Alex has been it consistently
Thats the thing. You don't have to give it your all in every song. Sometimes that's what cost you a match. Larry went too hard on the hitting the beats
@@natedailey6756 he don’t give it all every round 🤔 he’s all about musicality and he’s shown that each round. It’s not more than just hitting the beat like most dancers do anyways
@@natedailey6756 he can be chill and still kill it. Obviously everyone goes in when here’s a tie because judges don’t see everything a person is showing
@@Gamesdmc3 lols, well not all dancers have a tight schedule that involves Hennessy club tour, numerous workshop and judges at TV show. Give up will ya? these guys are not seeking validation from you... they battle more for fun now than anything,u can tell the hunger is no more there. Heck! they av already accomplished a lot thru dance.

Dance battle is ... The atmosphere of the place, the audience, the scoring person, the music, and the bargaining with the other party. I think that the dancer should take the above (there are many other details), express it with the rhythm groove flow and the sound values and techniques that he has, and aim for victory by involving the entire venue. increase. Of course ... there are also judges and spectators' tastes. There is also the word "game is the luck of time". More than anything, I think that the defeated Larry understands that and is facing every day to win more. All professional dancers are very humble. I don't think it's easy for the galleries around you to judge the outcome just by watching the video. If you leave a comment ... You should also visit on the day of the battle and give your opinion after assessing the live feeling. I give respect to both dancers who did their best 🤲 And I am grateful to the organizer for organizing the event among the coronaviruses 🙏
Very nice comment, I really done understand why people here think Larry won, look closely at all Alex's moves, they may look simple and chilled but there's so much complexity to him, Larry got beaten fair and square especially in the last round
