Volk lost that fight. He only outstruck islam in the last round. In all other four rounds Islam significant strikes and control time was more than him. But I get it, he is a guest on the show, you have to give him respect.

Volkanovski was lucky if anything. The lower rehydration window didn't interfere his cut to a higher weight class. Islam was cutting to his usual weight class and was dehydrated at the fight and still won. Volk won't be so lucky next time.
See the thing that i love about volk and izzy is that both guys know that they have the ability to mess you up so they can comfortably walk into a room knowing tehy have nothing to prove. That's the type of person that i want to model my life after and also someone who I greatly respect. The people that know that they can hurt you if they want to while remaining the most humblw are some of the best people to be around. Shout out volk and izzy.

Ok dudes relax.. Islam easily won that fight except for the last round. It was 3 - 2 and Volk himself acknowledged that he lost Round 2. Run it back anywhere anytime Islam would easily win.

Even tho I am an Islam fan I always admired volk for his character and sportsmanship until he just said Islam is trying to run from his fight. Even though everyone knows he is not that kind of a fighter who ducks. Volk really lowered his standards after the loss. 😮

On that same fight scoring criteria Volk described, Max would’ve easily got his belt back after that second fight, so he’s benefited from the current scoring as well. Don’t think Islam winning was anywhere near a robbery anyway, close fight but I think Islam did edge it out. Having said all that, Volk def the man and absolute elite figjter
Same man. He was the more dominant fighter overall. Volk had his moments, and the last minute of the fight. But the crowd really hyped up a lot of nothing in that fight for Volk
I've always loved Volk due to him being from my city of Wollongong, but early on i could also tell he was a special and different kind of beast. I'm just so glad that not only has he achieved major success in the sport but finally people are realising just how great of a bloke he is.

I had high regards for volk before the Islam fight but now all he does is say he won the fight accuse him of cheating and say that he got robbed the same scoring criteria he implies is what won him the second max fight even though Islam was a more clear cut winner than volk was so for gods sake get over it and start focusing on your division.
I feel like people like Alexander Volkonski could take on nearly any animal in gladiator gear if they train for it. I could definitely see Volk slicing up a group of chimps if he was a gladiator during the Roman times. They use to this sht all the time in the arena and top gladiators were said to ravage multiple large cats alone. It's just society we live in that would never let it happen.
Volk is a modern day gladiator. If he trained for it he definitely could kill a chimp if he's equipped. Makes no sense for humans to be completely unarmed in these situations. In my scenario Volk would have modern da gladiator attire like a sword/shield and some armor.

One thing that would fix the judging in combat sports is after each round the score for that round is announced/shown so each fighter, the team and people at home know who won the round, do this for each round and watch the fights and judging change for the better ✌🏼
Nope, all u will see is robberies taking place in real time and fighters getting pissed off they didn’t get rounds scored for them that they should have and it would be a massive distraction, it fixes nothing and would just ruin the fight announcements when the fight is finished as well, the fights will literally be scored the same it fixes absolutely nothing
How this fight could be a "robbery" ? It was so close fight that Islam can easily won the first 4 rounds of it, just because volk was the underdog coming from the fight and he finished strongly that doesn't mean that he should get the W.

There is a better case for 4-1 Islam then 3-2 Volk. Even though they fought in his backyard and Islam only had 24h instead of the usual 36h to hydrate.
I love Volk, but Logan and Mike cant possibly say he beat Islam when 3 judges unanimously chose Islam as the winner. Rounds 1,2, and 4 were a lock for Islam.
@@flyingmonkeit's not really a stretch when you think about it. Islam won round 1,2 & 4. Look at round 3, it was close and can go either way. Round 3 was 50/50. If you give islam round 3, then that means islam won 4-1
@@flyingmonkeI reckon Islam won as well but I have a big problem with his tactics in round 4. Islam just held onto Alex for the entire round while Alex kept smacking him in the face. Like yeah Islam was in control, but he wasn’t being offensive, he was being defensive to recover. I get why they scored that round to Islam because he was in defensive control. But I feel like defensive control should be scored in favour only if they’ve nullified the other guy. Volk wasn’t nullified. He got like 70 more strikes that Islam in that round and Islam’s face after that fight clearly showed that. Islam won but the criteria absolutely needs to change because of the criteria was different and more agreeable, Volk would’ve won (just)
I thought it was clear too, but I can see how given that no one thought Volk would win, the people that were rooting for him can easily give both rounds 2 and 3 to Volk because he exceeded their expectations and because they thought Islam would Dominate him. Also they were close rounds.
