22:58 It's funny Shaq asks George to talk and ask a question the entire podcast and when George is finally about to ask the question Shaq stops him and says call your dad and tell him you love him. I wonder if Mike was saying good job George because of the great response from Shaq or if he was being sarcastic because he took them off the topic of basketball.
Everyone be kind to your parents no matter what, 6 months before my dad passed we got into a fight and I didn’t talk to him for 3 months, I regret it every day, he passed at 63, I was 25 and just had his second grandchild 2 weeks before he passed, apologize, tell them you love them, hold them close, because I wish I could take those 3 months back💜
Cool maybe. However, I’d argue that he’s one of the LEAST humble NBA players of all-time. Anytime he’s criticized about basically anything, rather than roll with the punches like most people do, he resorts to this near infantile mindset, where he either intentionally turns the conversation into either (A) - Kiss my 4 rings, (B) - I’ll kick your ass, or (C)- Both. Shaq’s ego is in a weird state. He was once the best player in the world (after MJ, pre LBJ). He is in the argument for the best Center of all-time (although, I’d argue that Hakeem and Kareem were undeniably better, all around than Shaq). Shaq knows he’s not the definitive best Center of all-time (top 3-4, at the absolute highest). Instead of acknowledging and accepting this, he’s cultivated this weird narrative of most “dominant” Center/Big-Man of all time. However, even if this mattered to anyone at all (other than Shaq), it’s unfortunately, probably not even true. Despite the relative lack of footage, prime Wilt Chanberlain was probably at least as “dominant” as Shaq. If anything, he probably dominated his competition more than Shaq (given the 6’6” Milk and Post-Men Wilt was guarding, in comparison to Shaq). He’s a legend, but that’s basically it. He’s not in the argument for best player of all-time. He’s arguably not even a top 3 Center of all-time (Kareem, Hakeem, and Wilt all before Shaq (in that order)). He’s a natural bully. You see how he’s constantly belittling George. Shaq’s ego is right-up there with MJs. Only difference is MJ is undeniably the best SG, guard, perimeter player to ever play the game. In my opinion, he’s the definitive best to have ever played. His large ego can co-exist with actual reality; whereas Shaq’s arrogance is delusional.
I don’t have the same religious beliefs as George, but I loved that whenever he’s feeling super nervous / awkward he immediately goes to a bible reference to calm himself down.
@@diychad7268 no unfortunately I don’t think I should be a guest on his channel, I was just saying someday I hope to be a great RU-vidr that can do good things and give back!!
Shaq I've noticed has a certain way of motivating people. He takes jabs at them almost trying to coax them to step it up and prove him wrong That's what he was doing to George this episode
@@ToastedPickle_ George was doing something wrong tho....he needs to step it up and engage more I'm the Convo. It's up to him to be more proactive instead of just sitting there like a knob
Wow didn't realize Shaq was such a respectful, well put together person. Good father figure, loyal to his family and much more. You simply won't find such quality individuals these days. I am blown away ....
Shaq wanted to be there for short period of time. Shaq was busy. He just popped in for sometime and got out. Obviously they were given time limit. That’s why they were rushing the whole podcast. And obviously they are all nervous to talk to such a big personality not just in size. The way he carries himself. They couldn’t catch his vibe, does he wanna be serious or funny. I’m pretty sure people will feel intimidated around Shaq, don’t wanna offend him.
Funniest thing to me was George kept getting heat for not asking questions and when he finally started asking a question he got two words into it and Shaq was like "Man, shut up and call your daddy". 😂
Poor George. Anyone who has social anxiety can relate to the way he was being treated by Shaq. It’s all in good fun, but still it is an introvert’s worst nightmare 😂😂😂
He’s on a podcast where he’s part interviewer. He’s said it before, he doesnt think of any questions to ask prior. He likes to go in with a blank slate so he can learn. Which is horrible because this is the outcome. You need to be knowledgeable on who you’re interviewing so you can ask questions. Practice asking questions and think of back up questions to successfully steer an interview no matter what the responses are. He does this to himself, but then again view are views no matter how good, bad or awkward.
Props to mike for being a good friend and boosting up george, I can’t imagine how nervous I’d be around someone of shaqs stature, that was some real friendship outta mike
They really need to get him off the damn show.. this should have been a better interview but they just got the same broken record info out of Shaq that we've heard on dozens of other interviews
@@Au1878-q4y George did better than Logan and mike🤣🤣 Shaq made them change the subject cause they were asking terrible questions they fumbled this episode not George who can’t hear anything 😭
Shaq is the result of not being beat up or challenged enough in his life. In nba people too scared to lose their salary to do nothing so the big guy has been able to live without getting beatings so he has this ego. U can see it in the video where francis ngannou lifts him up
@@Yessirski246 yeah its not that easy bud. Its a mental disorder. Some have it more severe than other of course but you cant just tell someone to "live in the moment"
I’ve always had a special place in my heart for George. He’s so precious and pure. I feel like he needs to be protected, and this episode has further shown that. 😂❤ George, hang in there. 💀😙
@@ryleajiles9158 right! Everyone thinks it's fine he got made fun of, but switch the roles to where you're the one getting basically bullied on camera I bet a lot of people don't like it. He's getting away with being a jerk for no reason and personally thinks it's not ok, and a lot of other people would agree. It's not being soft either, it's just common sense to not belittle someone for no reason
“Close your legs when you’re talking to me” I am glad he said it. Not even joking. I would vote for this man as president in a damn second 😂 he can’t be any worse than what we’ve had “Gated community gangsters” this dude never runs out of jokes w
I know Georges heart was racing when shaq was messing with him. Bro stumbled for the first time in impulsive history. Just gotta say we're all human and move on aye. Love you George
Shaq has no filter and he's pretty straight up with the things. So, when he realised that it's been literally 12 minutes and George had said absolutely nothing, Shaq just had to say something. Also, Shaq said himself - he was there to have a good time, for himself and for the audience. And since George is supposed to be funny one out of the three, if George doesn't say anything then Shaq isn't going to get the comedic podcast he wanted. FTR, We also see this when they start asking Shaq about his stocks and Shaq says "Next question". Also, I'm fully aware my comment has no relation to the comment I'm commenting on.
I love how authentic the podcast is. The awkwardness, the mistakes- Logan was talking about him no longer being relatable in the last podcast but this perfectly captures how we really all are the same people just trying to figure out life. One of my favourite podcasts not for the content but for what I learnt.
I respect Shaq so much. He understands the daily struggle of a normal human being. The fact he gave us all props is not very seen when someone who has been rich and famous for so long bc they forget. Shaq hasn’t forgotten 🙏🏼
Shaq is legitimately one of my favorites humans that has ever lived!!! He's an incredible athlete, father, businessman, and so much more!! Shaqs a winner at life
I love impaulsive and this statement is probably beating a dead horse but you guys all dropped the ball bad on this episode. Definitely a moment to learn from and keep it pushing. Hopefully shaq can come again in the future so we can see you all redeem yourself. Tbh the live audience just made it worse I think. I think this would’ve been 10x better if it was just you 4.
Shaq wanted to be there for short period of time. Shaq was busy. He just popped in for sometime and got out. Obviously they were given time limit. That’s why they were rushing the whole podcast. I’m pretty sure people will feel intimidated around Shaq, don’t wanna offend him. Also the live audience was not helping them. People were making all kinds of noise
@@kjmmd5758 They literally said in the episode that's not what happened and Shaq was surprised it ended early. Logan admitted to making a mistake ending the show prematurely. IMO it's the audience that threw them off for sure.
Growing up Shaq was my favorite ball player. Since them Magic days hahaa, his humbleness is as big and beautiful as himself. We need more people like this speaking greatness into these young people minds and hearts. May god continue to bless and guide you Dr. O'NEAL. #DieselPowered #Texas 🤘
I really don’t like how they feel the need to put George on the spot all the time, always trying to make him feel awkward and out of place for no reason
Honestly, how else can impaulsive not be the number 1 podcast in the world right now? Literally every single guest is so big of a magnitude and it is always hella entertaining to watch! W 🤝🏽
This Pod was so hard to watch, don't know if it was because it was live so the vibe was off or cause the questions were so boring but I'm looking forward to the next one. Few Tips: - George come more prepared - Don't do it live - Make it more like a conversation & less like an interview - Avoid asking things that have been asked a million times before, this could've been a great opportunity to ask about Shaq's other endevours not just his NBA career from decades ago
Couldn’t agree more, I’m not a regular impaulsive watcher. But Shaq carried the podcast. Im a big Shaq admirer, but he learned nothing new, these questions were already asked many times before. And George could be more prepared, but those damn boyshorts disturbed me a lot more.
I really love how quickly Logan went from everyone hating him and him just being a douche to being a genuine dude that I honestly think is cool as hell
I feel like his content initially grew with his audience. 13 year olds in 2016 are now 19 year olds, verging on 20. The content can't stay childish forever
The fact that you guys are so imperfect sometimes with your interviews just makes watching you all the better. I felt for George ( punching bag for many of the jokes), but the whole thing made it even more entertaining to watch.
I was stoked for Shaq, but honestly this pod was not the best. It probably would have been 10x better if there wasn’t a live audience. Still decent, but didn’t do Shaq justice that’s for sure.
Not fucking with it. I hate how some people get so big that they can just act anyway, say anything, do anything. Shaq was lowkey sonning George this show for no reason.
Shaq is the man! He has such words of wisdom. This man is so inspirational and a relief to listen to. Love seeing him come online and speak. Can't ever get enough of the Shaq Diesel
I loved this episode, just natural flow- didn't feel scripted and just flowed, loved how the boys really balance each other out. props to George especially being next to shaq must of been a lot! My favourite so far!!!!
I just saw the title and I already know this is going to be a good one. Props to the team at Impaulsive for continuing to have such high-caliber guests on the show.
George has to come more prepared to the show. I’ve noticed he sits there and doesn’t ask that many questions. He is more concerned about being funny. I hope George uses this as a learning experience. Guest notice when he doesn’t pay attention. He day dreams a lot. I’m glad Shaq called him out for it. Push him out of his comfort zone. Love you George.
@@xrei. oh well, you don’t always have to say shit, or engage. What if he was having a bad day, or something we keeping him pre occupied? It’s what it is, a podcast is natural.
@@tdh2044 if he’s having a bad day then stay out of the podcast for the day Nd he obviously said nothing bout having a bad day so that not an excuse. He literally dropped the ball how tf are you not prepared to ask shaq anything at all. You have to come prepared Nd do some research if you don’t know anything bout the guest. Also he tried to be funny all the time Nd looks for a home run so when no one laughs it gets awkward Nd he did that way too many times in this episode. He usually just asks biut Jesus Nd religion Mike and George actually ask questions Nd you can tell they really do research on the guest before they come in
@@ttg8966 People don’t tell always tell others if they are having a bad day you know? Not everything is gonna be told, maybe something private going on in his life so he doesn’t need to share it. Sure he could come up with questions but you don’t need to do pre research, you can simply adapt from the podcast and how it’s progressing and ask questions accordingly and today he simply wasn’t up to the task. What is the big deal lol?
The podcast still carried well despite Shaq's time ending prematurely. Concussion protocol in the NFL is a very heavy topic & I loved everyone's honest perspective, also I always enjoy the fun loving environment & energy Shaq always garners & the nature of this show compliments that source very well. I'm also a huge fan of the jewels being dropped by Shaq & the hosts included. Great episode alround 👍🏾✅
Shaq was doing George dirty😂 Even when he was about to talk about His parents Shaq just cut him off and then mike stepped in after and started talking about basketball💀
George seems to be the odd one out I feel bad. He said he should quit the show and then Logan laughs and says how much he loves Mike… not a good day for George man.
Shaq really is such a role model. not many basketball players are role models. He's such an incredible person it would be amazing to be around this guy.
