I listened to this song 247 when my mom was in coma. it was empowering. it was like my armor. please don't stop bringing the bangers. she passed but you got me to where I needed to be to face my problems
if music can do that for you... gives me so much hope. that's the only reason I create, one day I want someone to be able to say that about my music. I'm so happy we have music. something we all share
Vic Mensa, Alex Wiley and Chance The Rapper all grew up together. They're all in the same label (SaveMoney). So obviously they'll all have similar flows. Chill. Enjoy. Although, Wiley's production quality is far superior than Mensa and Chance.
Alex isnt a part of SaveMoney, he, Isaiah Rashad, Monster Mike, Kembe X and Jean Deaux are all part of The Village, formerly know and as Swag Village as a joke. Like this so its known.
If you think Alex Wiley sounds like chance the rapper or Vic mensa you aren't listening right. You're paying attention to the sound more than the lyrical content, the beats, flow, rhymes etc. There's so much more to an artist than the sound of their voice.
Peter Chow alex definitely flows better, by miles, but when it comes to making a song artistically I think chance is better. I don't like comparing though, I bump them so heavy it doesn't even matter lol
this is easily one of the best songs ive ever heard. Not only did it help me get out of a bad stage of my life years ago but it still keeps me going to this day. One of the few perfect songs out there.
it's really lame how every time a Chicago artist starts making some noise they say they sound like chance. they're all obviously influenced by the same things in chicago, so there are going to be some similarities. but honestly I don't think any artists sound much like chance at the moment. his sound can not be copied. just like Alex Wiley's sound can not be copied. every artist has a uniqueness to them.
***** no they're not if u grow up in the same area u rap together growing up... And u practice with each other then later separate how u think every counterpart will sound?

I honestly cant be the only person that cant hear any Chance in this guy at all, idk what it is. If you guys would download his first tape or even looked up the song "Earfucked" youd see he has an ENTIRELY different sound. Ever since Chance came out everyone says that a lot of people sound like him, like nah theyve been sounding that way, Chance just blew up so you compare it to what the most popular at the time. Let this nigga make his tunes bruh
FIRST OF ALL THIS SOUND CAME FROM VINCE MENSA NOT CHANCE THE RAPPER SO STOP HUGGIN CHANCES NUTS THIS GUY IS TALENTED AND I RATHER HEAR MORE RAPPERS OUT OF CHICACO SOUNDING LIKE THIS THEN SOUNDIN LIKE CHIEF KEEF CLONES...
Chano isn't a chief keef clone. Now this might be hard for you to understand but, A: their flow and styles are different B: chief is pro gang while chance isn't.
Payton Anderson he;s talking about all the rappers that sound EXACTLY like Chief Keef, aka sound like like and probably do have Asperger's. Aka Future, Chief Keef any rapper that sounds fucking straight up retarded when they spit.
They're from the same area, of course there's a chance they have similar influences. But their music isn't even in the slightest alike, not even the production.
Dude I was seeing the same shit for a different artist. people are like "omg pell stole chance's style" and I'm like are you fucking that simple minded? Hmmm I wonder why…artist happen to inspire other artists, all music is created from the same source, and If you actually like Chance, you will like that he sounds "similar". To me, I don't hear it….maybe on some of the words, the way he emphasizes some sounds, thats it….
NicoGee1 He doesn't at all, I just have listened to both for a while, they don't rap the same, production is different, tone is different. everything about them is different, except their voice sounds a little alike, bc they're from the same city......
To those who claim this is biting chance's style, I have to completely disagree. Wiley and Chance are two completely seperate, talented artists. They definitely both make music that can be grouped together (alternative hip-hop), but they lyrically have so many differences, and their flows are completely different
This dude and song is dope af but if you say this doesn't have a Chance flow or feel then you are crazy! Not taking nothing away from this man but come on, Chance influence is all in this song bruh. Much respect to Alex tho, keep up this shit fam.
hahah yeah they really did grow up together. thats why other rappers like vic mensa share similar sounds cus they all grew up rapping together in chicago
joeysosa agreed. may not be exactly the same but the vibe, voice inflection and style are pretty damn similar... good look for Chance though, and I like this song.
This guy. I heard him today for the first time today. I'm amazed. This song is my new favorite song. DOPE AS HELL. And his entire mixtape is also amazing. Dude, keep the hella good work up!
