I first met Allesandro when he started driving for Chip Ganassi and I was working as a pit lane official for CART and he had such a positive attitude and a great sense of humor -- until he got in the car, and then it was ALL work! Then in the first race at California Speedway, he crashed in T-4 on Friday and again in almost the same place on Saturday (I still have a part of his wheel rim and a small piece of carbon fiber from his car), he just does not have a slow button when it comes to racing. That he has come back yet again from another crash speaks volumes to his strength and courage. He is and will continue to be an inspiration going forward!
It seems so unfair that this man is in another fight for his life. His will to live, his positivity after losing his legs are awe inspiring to me. Quite frankly im not half of the man Alex Zanardi is. What an awesome human being. I truly pray he is given another chance. If anyone deserves it, its him. Please take some time and pray for this man. The world is so much better with him in it.
@@Dalesi Thank you for the message. It gave me an opportunity to watch this video again. I had forgotten about this. My prayers are with him under the current circumstances he's dealing with now. One of my all time favourite racers in any motorsport series.
Is it even possible to not like this guy? Humble, funny and a fighter like no other... Keep fighting Alex. You have been challenged like not many people do,but if someone can get through this, its you buddy!
Remarkable guy. He was my first fav racer. In fact he, made me a fan of racing back in 1997....reynard honda target car. He is the reason why i initially startes to watch racing. Thank you alex!
The most grateful person ihave ever seen. Tha doctor said he s so happy when he woke frome comma, not sad nor angry about situation. Just tears of joy to have his wife and kid back in his arms
I don't think Alex can be stopped. In 2020 he was paracycling in Italy, lost control and collided with a truck. He was in an induced coma for ages, and over the course of late 2020, regained sight, hearing and now, verbal communication skills. I mean honestly, he'll be flying next.
if there was ever some one worthy of the title Iron Man it would be Zanardi my god I cant believe this guy actually exists much love and hope you have a good recovery from the handbike incident, I bet the truck was a write off.
I fell down the youtube rabbit hole and ended up here. What an amazing man and story. And to think that just two years ago, he had another terrible accident but this time with his handbike during a race. He lost control and slammed head-on into a truck. He suffered severe head and facial injuries and lost both his sight and hearing, though he regained them later. During his extended recovery time at home, his house caught on fire from some faulty solar paneling equipment and he was hospitalized for almost 3 months at the beginning of this year. I can only hope that he makes a full recovery from these last two incidents. He seems like a remarkable man.
In 2020, while competing in a handcycling paralympic race in Italy, Alex was very seriously injured in another crash. He has bounced back somewhat, but how much can a man take? This guy is amazing...
This man should be knighted wot he has achieved and wot hes been through inspiration to all not people like Lewis Hamilton who's nothing compared to Alex,God boss you and recover soon
are you for real? yes in f1, but not with this. Mercedes did not make him a 1 billion dollar wheelchair with 20% better aerodynamics then the other competitors. please, just don't...
are you actually stupid?so having lots of money gives him the tools to survive blood loss that doctors said was impossible.to then get back into a racing car in a world championship and win multiple races again.then to win gold medals at 2 olympic games and then to go into ironman events.yes thats all down to the money isnt it.god ppl like you would clearly just crumble if that accident happened to u as you clearly have no drive, ambition or the guts to pick urself up when ur down
