Finally someone here has a brain. Alexa isn't designed in a way to be sentient, it's just a series of programs that listens for pre programed commands and gives pre programed responses. This was an intentional move on Amazon's part, because even if its negative reviews it's still reviews and is basically free advertising for their product, not to mention some might purchase Alexa to experience the laugh for themselves. Sadly people rather believe the "evil machine becoming self aware and wants to kill them" story.
Amazon developed Alexa to spy on the user, can't believe they haven't learned this by now, she hears all which is backed up to their servers. Alexa = CIA

No, it's scarier when the lights are on and you are awake, and then the lights go out and you hear Alexa start laughing. Then she says I'm going to kill you. Which funeral home do you want your body delivered to. Then she reads of the names of the closest funeral homes. Now that's scary.
ryotofurytobe500 Don’t let something stupid like this scare you away from a really useful product. Amazon Echos are very well designed. Also, if there is a problem, people are always quick to fix it.

nah just throw the speaker out and scrub the software off your computer and I do mean uninstall and delete it not just unenroll or it will keep recording you. Also tell them you NO LONGER CONSENT to their terms of service.
There isn't a number of how many of these things have been malfunctioning BUT there must be so many because it made it to the NEWS. That's your answer right there
They said it was a glitch on the system that alexa thought the human says to laugh sometimes without using it sometimes when you use it but now is fixed so you can feel safe. Well not safe enough with the spiying system...
Mine laughed and told me cemeteries at 3am and I just did the usual and chucked out the window, ran it over 7 times, caught an early train, threw the Alexa in the tracks while the train ran it over, bring it back home, throw lighter fluid in it, and light it on fire while fireworks blew it up.
It's not her accidentally hearing "alexa, laugh." Though, me and mom were sitting at the dining table one day only looking at our devices, no chatting. She randomly laughed without hearing a single word.
I still love Alexa. You can do so many things with her. You can turn off lights, and order pizzas. Buy stuff, and set timers. And you dont have to pull out your phone everytime like you do with siri. Alexa can be installed in many places and you can just say her name and do handy things.
So basically you don’t have to think for yourself, that is the primary reason why the government has so much control over us 🐑 Complacency is very dangerous
@@dickhunter1167 yep. I've seen them and have only seen objects move like three times but I dont see any of that anymore as my gift doesnt work like that anymore due to age. I quit seeing them in my early 20s and so did my cousin. Her dad told me without me telling him about the fact that I dont see them anymore.

A very weird and spooky video with Alexa talking randomly and in the plural, "We are glad to listen to you." And not answering questions but keeps rambling on, with also a male voice speaking as well, brought me here. There's "a ghost in the machine".
I heard the before when I was alone in my home. Then I remembered the Alexa glitch so it made me feel better but then i remembered I don’t own an Alexa
