I give a like to your comment but it is a Bit of an exaggeration. There is no denying that Alexander is brilliant, talented and will be a superior musician as he matures. But there are a couple of others who deserve similar accolades. Let us not take anything away from this boy. But let us remember that it is fortunate that there are others who are also rising stars who will replace those who have left the stage. Such a talent is so rare and so precious we should recognize all who are fortunate enough to have it and provide us, of far lesser talent, with the beauty of music such as this.

@Alex Could you please name some of these "25 children his age who play at his skill level", so we can compare and perhaps say that the young Russian pianist is just one of many? Oh, and by the way, have those 25 talents won any Grand Prix, awards and golden medals at international competitions? Where do they perform? Thanks.

By age 12, Alexander had performed the Grieg concerto and the Saint Saens No.2. Also La Campanella, this piece, Little Red Riding Hood, etc. Just amazing to me!!

I had an experience like this when I performed in a small music competition... it actually helped me. I was waiting outside, and I knew that the boy who played would win the whole thing. I had to wait very long, because he went back three times to take a bow and the audience went crazy. I was like: „Oh well, whatever I do, I will never be able to beat him. And nobody is going to listen to me anyway after this. So I might as well enjoy myself and have fun playing on this beautiful grand piano“. I finished 2nd to last, never went to a competition again. But my friend said she never saw me playing this good and smiling throughout. It helped me to know that I played better than ever, but it just wasn‘t enough
