Alexander Malofeev has within him three attributes that are rare in this world: a brain with prodigious memory capacity, a nervous system that sends messages to his fingers with precision and speed, and a soul that makes beautiful music from these components. When I was young, piano lessons (including Tchiakowsky 1) and an early attachment to the movie Brief Encounter (Rach 2 music) and a popular song of the same vintage were experiences that stay with me at age 91. I watch these performances with gratitude that I am still on this earth to enjoy them and hope Alexander can live a long and happy life to produce more joy for my children and grandchildren.

I had intended to come to Boston to see you but the Covid postponed that. Whenever I feel overwhelmed by the dark forces around us | watch this young prodigy play something. The brightness of his light comes shining through as the man becomes the music and the music becomes inspiration. There is magnificence in the world.

We all worry about his health. Why? Because we suspect that dear Alexander is a workaholic who neglects his physical well-being and fitness. He should get out every day, do a run or cycle or at least take a brisk walk. OK, he is very handsome, but by the age of forty he could easily be a fat little dwarf. Actually he needs a devoted girlfriend to look after him.

This is truely a wonerful compilation of milestone achievements performed by Alexander in the early years of his very sucsessful career. Since he became known at an age of 9 years as a highly talented piano player, he matured and developed in say 10 years time to an extraordinary level of skills and musical abilities. When playing It is as if he turns iconic compositions into a higher level of beautiness that is never heard before. Bravo to Alexander for his miraculous artwork and I hope he will prolong his amazing career for many decades to come.

Oh, I completely agree with your thoughts of Alexander. He's a blessing to the entire world...such an amazing talent and his soul seems full of all that is good and kind. Of course no one is perfect...that's not humanly possible, but his love of the music and the keyboard is so contagious, I just can't get enough of it....a true "treasure of the world"...something we can all appreciate the world over!

He simply sat at the piano like Alexander , and the greatest expressive interpretations flowed out without any seeming effort. I wonder if we have another Rubinstein in the making .....

Nobody has ever played the last movement of Rachmaninoff's 3rd Concerto better than this. I have 45 recordings. The Tchaikovsky 'Andante Maestoso' is also in a class by itself.
This Rach3 is always my top 1. The ‘Andante Maestoso’ had been made into a new level recently in the Madrid show. Alexander indeed never ceases to amaze us.

I can't explain it, although I've had the great privilege of listening to a number of quite exceptional pianists in my life, but every time I listen to Alexander Malofeev I'm totally mesmerized by his interpretations and overwhelmed by the way he conveys to us his brilliant vision of the works they're playing.

Watching this young boy when playing, I get tears in my eyes, but also have to laugh when he is giving away all his flowers to others. Russia has so many talented musicians, but unfortunately a terrible repressing regime. Wished Putin should come and listen to this amazing talent.🙏

Premetto che conosco poco la musica, mi piace, ma parlo non da specialista. Di tutto ciò che il maestro Malofeev ha offerto, a me il concerto che piace di più è quello di Saint Saen. Comprendo che avrà molte meno difficoltà di altri brani, ma come si usa dire i gusti sono gusti. Quello che mi rende un suo convinto ammiratore è che ho l'impressione, che però non so spiegare con le parole giuste, che egli sia sempre in totale sintonia con il compositore. E' come se suonasse proprio come chi ha scritto la musica voleva che venisse poi eseguita. Che abbia fatto sua l'anima del compositore e adesso la sappia trasmettere integralmente, con ogni sfumatura, senza nulla aggiungere o togliere.
@EveWong, Montreal refused to let Alex play March 2022. Alex has family in Ukraine and he condemned the war against Ukraine which is a brave but dangerous thing to do. I have written to everyone in Montreal involved and it was not a love message I wrote : 🙂 I am glad he is performing in Paris now. I send all your videos to my twitter lady friend in Russia and she is a music historicus and now she adores Alex too. She lives in the city Tchaikovsky was born.

Mais je voudrais également dire qu’il ne faut pas essayer de comparer avec les grands interprètes passés, ils ont eu leurs histoires, leurs interprétations et c'est heureux mais Alexandre Maloveef est unique effectivement et la chance que nous avons actuellement de pouvoir le suivre par ces vidéos ( merci Eve ) est incroyable . D epuis que j’ai découvert ce garçon, je crois que chaque jour j’écoute ou regarde un ou plusieurs morceaux. Cette compilation est superbe avec l’anniversaire au final ! .
