Alexander City, Alabama - Largest City in Tallapoosa County AKA "Alex City"!

I graduated there in 1987. I make this point all the time. I had a female friend to come visit me from Los Angeles. Her words, “This looks like something you would read about in a fairytale.” This is one of many poor, horrible places in the south to live. Well, that’s what liberal media outlets will tell you. Some of these buildings are over 150 years old. Keep in mind this is the inner part of the city. What do you notice or what do you not notice? No trash, no potholes, no homelessness… you don’t get to see the absolutely gorgeous neighborhoods within a couple miles of this location. This is what a common culture that does not adopt secular ways of life actually looks like. Compare this to any blue city in the country and tell me where you would rather be. I love my home!

Thanks for sharing!! I was born in Alex City, Ala in 1958! I haven't been there in prob 40 yrs!! Would love to go back and look at the hospital, Russell Mills, (both my parents worked there at one time) and the Outlook (newspaper, my Aunt worked there for bout 75 yrs! Lol, jk, but it was a long time!!) thanks again for the sharing!!!

born and raised there people drive to fast makes cycling and walking deadly 50mph+ on 25mph streets 70mph+ on 50mph roads no bike lanes no crosswalks no sidewalks on major roads high drug crimes kids carry guns everywhere too spread out with not much to do
