Alexander McQueen | Pre-Spring/Summer 2024 Womenswear Collection 

As much as this collection is beautiful, I remember a Lee's quote that he said "I want my women to be feared, to be powerful enough to be feared" and thats not it. In the beginning Sarah did a good job to carry Lee's legacy but over time it seem to be lost, maybe they forced her to be more and more commercial? This seem like a continuity of Sarah's legacy and not Lee. But Im pretty sure it will sells well so they will keep doing it. I just wished they could keep Lee's vision while trying to sell, because with a brand with such a huge name in the fashion world as McQueen, its pretty possible to do something really striking and people would still want to buy it, like come on, its McQueen! Any fashionista would LOVE to look a little bit weird and cool with that name on it. Galliano is reviving his aesthetic on Margiela now, it would be the perfect timing for McQueen to come back to the spotlight as well. Make us a show again.

To think-- this is the final collection we will see that truly embodies McQueen after Sarah Burton was ousted. And what a marvelous display of art and craftsmanship this is. The artistry, the power, the elegance is what attracted me to the house! Sarah was a vessel that contained something no other designer can offer-- she was his right hand. The recent debut collection from the new head designer misses the mark of the brand in every way possible. Rest in peace McQueen! And thank you Sarah for keeping the brand alive.
