WOW.Stunning collection.Even today it's still beautiful.A sign of a great designer. This lady is doing a superb job taking over the one and only ALEXANDER McQUEEN.Just BEAUTIFUL.
This is really beautiful. McQueen house is really good. This collection is magnificient. It is little avant - garde, not to much, and it goes well with beautiful dresses. She didn' t exaggerate in avant - garde.
This is by far my favorite collection from Sarah Burton so far! There was one model's arm swings that really bothered me (because I learned drilling in JROTC).
You probably dont care but does any of you know a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot the login password. I love any help you can offer me.
@Karson Conor Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
There is a secret website that forecast the next big trends every seasons and big brands would follow them, that's why we have a feeling that they always "lead" the trends
Most of these "Model's" looked as if they were taken right off the street and put into these WONDERFUL Garments... they looked like they had no clue how to walk the runway and/ or in heel's... which were incredible!!!! Especially the knee high's... loved the show just wish they would have put more thought into the models...
The floors are glossy, the heels are 8 inches, the dresses sometimes constricts movement. You'd have to watch behind the scenes of the making of these collections to understand the difficulties of getting these shows together. I've seen models almost pass out backstage because they can't breathe in these tight garments, so let alone walk in them. I challenge the average women to walk in these with all the factors I've thrown in, it's takes a special kind of skill to master walking like that without falling flat onyour face. These models did it gracefully. Good for them!
Maybe you don't know as much about the casting processes as you seem to know about the design, girl. prep for this presentation--showcasing the closest to haute couture quality of all the brand's designs--is lengthy, exhausting, above all, THOUGHTFUL. a girls' height and weight, her race/ethnicity, her skin colouring, her age, her personality and fashion-world fame, her industry experience and her reputation (and probably more) is considered by the designer herself. the show is rehearsed. etc.
EXACTLY! an exhausted 19 year-old standing at 5'10" (or more) and weighing around 108 lbs, inevitably from some country across the globe, spends half of her life sitting in cabs, and the rest flying in coach. all to do eight weeks of fashion-show-marathon (at least twice a year), sporting a gown that itself weighs 14 lbs, which it is her job to make you buy for the steep price of £4,000. all in HEEL-LESS 8" pumps on a slippery floor. and then people complain about her constantly? lighten up!
they try. 😌 the truth about innovation creation you can look through early collections be inspired by Mr McQueen early works even copy to detail but you have to get new ideas. Wake this house up for real and this was 2012.
my simple point is...if the runway models look like an underwhelming chorus-line of plain waify-teenage girls and grungy skateboarding rebellious boys, all randomly plucked from the city's streets, IT'S BECAUSE THAT IS THE AESTHETIC WHICH THE DESIGNER PERSONALLY CREATED. they think about what settings combined will shock the viewer? or excite his memory with an unsettling image. is he looking or really seeing? what provokes his thoughts? often that does not involve what's soft and pretty...
First of all... I've been walking in heel's since I was 14 so I can and I can "complain" whenever I want. You act like I'm talking about you or someone you know.
