Mesmerized still even after a decade and a half. its just not dark and demented, its also the communication of his otherwordly mind through The perfect cuts, tailoring, patterns and play of volume and shapes. It's technical genius combined with a very dramatic mind. A true icon. RIP. And thanks for giving the world this collection. (this show is what propelled me into fashion and got me to UK, God bless you Alexander McQueen)
That dress at 2:14 is amazing! It's a hounds-tooth check but it's been somehow cut so it shakes like fringe. The first few suits in checks are just beautifully designed!
Most amazing and mesmarizing fashion show ever. Simply Out of this world. Nothing short of genius. I m not into fashion yet i find this awe inspiring. I suppose genius transcendes all.
These looks are very detailed. You can tell they really set the bar at the drawing board. Everyone in that room is incredibly lucky to witness this amazing vision. And the models ate every look and left no crumbs . Bravo 👏🏽
Wow. The first time I'm wowed by what I considered to be silly ....but this was clothing art as well as human. Loved how they would do their poses and throw in some attitude.
I dont know how many Times I've watched this epic fashion show I mean it's breathtaking and the music is spot-on with the models... even the music is like no other it's out of this world also ;)
MY FAVE FASHION SHOW AND COLLECTION EVER! I can’t pick a favorite but my all time favorite is the last look! The Raven inspired dress with exaggerated shoulder and hips! BREATHTAKING!!!
This is absolutely 💯 art. Also the irreverence and statements about other fashion houses. Ones that truly disrespected his work. The first few pieces were huge middle fingers to Dior, Balenciaga, and Chanel.
McQueen was the ultimate risk taker !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He crafted political issues into movable fabric Art !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Drawing in the viewer and confronting them head on !!!!!!!!!!!!! God Bless Alexander for using his talent to make the world a better place !!!!!!!!!!!!!
After watching this I’ve become so sad, he was truly legendary. The part where he came out at the end made me so sad he was so amazing and inspiring. Rest in Peace Lee.
This wonderful fashion show is perfect, and something to emphasize is that there is not a single cell phone, that makes the atmosphere there only focus on beautiful clothing, the wonderful walk of the models and the wonderful atmosphere of flawed fashion , empty and grotesque chic !!
Love the dress at the 2:13 mark. Love how he can take old fashioned styles, like many of the outfits in houndstooth fabric, and tweak them and make them look edgy.
If any McQueen fan pays attention close enough there was one final Easter egg to one of Lee’s most celebrated collections. At approximately 11:12 , you hear what sounds like a heart flatline noise, almost identical to the sound that was heard at Voss, ( Spring 2001) before the reveal
