So he started adopting Persian culture and traditions. Because of this behaviour of Alexander, Macedonian citizens and army mutinied multiple times.

It's a dumb argument for Slavs to make. Back then there were no Slavs. Celtic, German, Slav, were all the same with small changes from tribe to tribe. Back then they were all Scythian. This letter was written, sent and received between the Battles of Issus and Gaugamela. By Issus, Alexander had conquered Anatolia and his victory at Issus left Syria, Palestine and Egypt open to him. Darius wrote to him asking for peace, alliance and the return of his family in exchange for him ceding all territory west of the Euphrates. This letter was Alexander’s reply.
