a bit late but... fredrick asked ivan to bring him his chair and he got the chair he fell asleep on and just happened to never wake up again and pompey... well he was assassined on the way to egypt to hold a speech and lastly cathrine finish ivan off with a chess move since he died playing chess

6:28 yes, this is how Ivan the Terrible was - he didn't fight outright. He was a deranged psychopath who would weed out weaknesses and attack those - and the families - of his enemies (and sometimes, his own family. as Catherine said, Ivan killed his own son in a fit of rage.) In this battle, he "kills" them all how they died... Alexander was poisoned, Fred died sitting in a chair, and Pompey was assassinated before he could gain any power. Alexander and Fred had really great bars but Catherine won this battle... she didn't fall for Ivan's tricks - only came at him harder before bringing it back around to ending him in a game of chess - which is how he died IRL, while playing chess. Alexander was pretty much defeated by his own arrogance, Fred by his own exhaustion, Pompey..., but then Catherine swaggers in and he has no true defense against her, relying only on a well known rumor instead of her actual death. Catherine who overthrew her own fucking husband Peter III and who was unashamed of her power and sexuality. She won that shit! Also, the actress and singer playing her is Megan Tonjes, a youtube artist.
