Almost always whenever i went to any of it's comment section i would see dozens of them pointing such subtle remarks and points that i completely overlooked because i didn't knew enough about the subject and made it appreciate even more .

The director‘s one to me is one of the best, the set-up between Spielberg, Hitchcock, Tarantino, Kubrick and their body of work & state of cinema is so well done while also referencing different eras and styles of rap music, with Michael Bay‘s finale being the brilliant icing on the cake.

Rasputin vs Stalin is their peak, their video still to beat. It’s got so many historical references and is the best example of what this channel should be-history rap battles. Plus the flow and music itself is great but hey, each to their own, at least everyone can agree ERB are RU-vid classics and are amazing. Also Stan Lee vs Jim Henson is a must see banger.

Everyone talking about the history references but I can't get over the "I'm about to bake raps from scratch like I'm Carl Sagan" line. A reference to the original "Cosmos" series, where Carl Sagan famously says "If you want to bake a pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe", and Stephen Hawking's PhD Thesis(and subsequent work) was a lot to do with early universe cosmology

I honestly think that their new battle are way better than their old ones. The level of references and bars are higher. The production quality is also higher.

Poe vs King should be higher than C tier man. It's up there with Jack the Ripper vs Hannibal Lecter. Poe even rapped in his style for the first verse, and they started and ended the rap like The Raven, a famous work of Poe.

You filtered the battles by view count (when it doesnt judge them based on quality AT ALL), watched mostly mid tier battles on stream, and ranked battles from like 9 years ago as the cream of the crop when they have SO much more underrated battles that actually have some top tier writing and production quality

Tesla vs Edison has always been my favourite simply because of how informational, accurate, and referencing it is. Because they really were rivals and everything they said was true; Not to mention Tesla is one of my favourite inventors of all time and my hatred of Thomas Edison kindof fueled that. I'd always thought they should do Lovelace vs Turing but maybe another time :)

I remember watching these as a kid and never understanding what the fuck they were talking about. I just loved the fun visuals and how they changed up the beats every time. It makes me so happy that they’re still making videos I just wish they knew that people still love them even though they aren’t getting as many views as they used to.

The issue here (as with any other reaction) is that ERB spends a LOT of time on its lyrics. Your appreciation for the video will be significantly impacted by how informed you are about the two rappers.

Usually, you might want to make a tierlist when you're a total amateur or good at your subject. Doing one when you're average is a bit complicated, honestly, you're just getting caught in the crossfire. I had to step back quite a few times with the choices that were made, and I'm pretty tolerant.
