I'm still watching this after all these years. She's defo my fav strictly dancer. Never seen anyone else give so much energy and skill. She has so much fire and passion for dancing! She smashed this dance. It was awesome!
Alexandra Burke in the bottom half of the leaderboard is an absolute joke. Her samba was incredible and Craig (I have no idea what I'm talking about) revel horwood thinking it was only worth a 7 is a disgrace. He should be ashamed of himself and just come out and tell people that Gemmz Atkinson is his favourite. It is so obvious that he favours her and that's reflecting in her undeserved scores. Alexandra Burke is the most talented dancer in this year's competition. Head up Alexandra; you are absolutely amazing and your fans are right behind you.
Very unlikable character that Alexandra.I think its bcoz she talks too much.if only she manages to talk less and be less hyper.personally I think she is very talented vocally...wasnt happy about how shortchanged she was by the music industry,she is a talent....but she cant keep her mouth shut for a few seconds.however I feel she is very undermined as a vocalist...I love her voice...its unique and distinctive.
i'm gonna join everyone in saying that this was undermarked!!! Ok, obviously getting three tens last week was a massive achievement and the dance was incredible but just because this was maybe a little bit less incredible doesn't mean you suddenly give it a 7. if she hadn't got 39 last the week the judges would have been all over that dance.
This apparently was the seventh best dance of the night according to our judging trio.Some of the most random marking I have seen on this programme.All my online votes went to this couple as they are in, wrongly in my opinion, that vulnerable middle section of the leaderboard.It genuinely looked fine to me. The best female dancer on this programme since Alesha Dixon, with honourable mentions for Denise Van Outen and Natalie Gumede.
Alesha's Cha Cha and particularly her jive were anything but poor. Her jive was probably the best in show history until Alex's jive last week. Alesha worked the shit outta that jive.

This is so undermarked. Yah, the feet were slightly wrong, but Craig gave them a 7! Should have been a 9 across the board, the feet is one little thing! 9/10.

They have too bcuz her and aston are so good that they gotta find little details thats lacking if they dont do that they people may think that the judges are showing favoritism by them getting 10s each week
Troy Rochester. I felt it was fairly marked as her technique was not as strong as it could have been as her feet affected how the dance should be done. But then again samba is one of the harder rounties to master and what she did was give a good performance.
Great dancer and extremely sexy lady. Loved the African influences in the dance. Hopefully the casual racism of the British public won't stop her doing well.
Dylan Blue A lot of it isn't racism mate. I find Alexandria a little unlikeable, and it's nothing to do with her race. Whilst there's evidently some racism in our society, I doubt that'll be a big factor in the voting if I'm honest.
Obviously, I'm not saying you or everyone voting is racist but if you've watched Strictly for a number of years, you notice how non-white contestants get voted off far too early. Also, Anton actually said something racist and nothing was done about it.
Wow, wow. Wow! Alexandra Burke is a dancing superstar. What a talented lady and so graceful and modest too. She is an absolute certainty for the title as long as the vote goes by talent. I'm afraid that popularity will once again come first and Alexandra will unfairly miss out like in previous years with Natalie Gumede, Ricky Whittle and Danny Mac. All outstanding dancers that should definitely have won but missed out because the eventual winner was more popular. Your fans love you Alexandra and you and Gorka are sensational together. You simply have to win if there is any justice.

I liked it! She really gave it some welly! Not a Danny Mac beater of a Samba but still one of the best in the series history...Craig needs to chill the *bleep* out! Not a real dance competition you fool, just an entertainment show. The technique was on point and I didn't see any pigeon toes...Her feet are always excellent. Marking harshly as she was "trained" by Craig in broadway perhaps?... don't want a run away winner? Need to keep the votes coming for everyone else? BBC manipulation again... ugh!
I feel like it was just Craig trying to quell the criticism that has been coming his way about he's biased towards her because he's worked with her before. On certain other places online this has been a sticking point for people...
When I watch clips from Strictly Come Dancing, I have a hard time telling who the professional is. It also seems like they stay true to the dance style on this show. I wish the US version would do their show like this.
I confess I kept watching Gorka in this dance, WOW ;) Ridiculous to give Alexandra a 7 - the same score Susan got from Shirley. WTH? They do the same thing with scores on DWTS and it drives me nuts.

Ore chose to do the jive as his favourite dance. I think the judges will ask her to do this or her waltz again as there is lots of room for improvement.
I was really surprised with the low score of this dance especially after the Jive last week. I think the song really suited the Samba and thought Alexandra and Gorka did a great job.
Well damn, that was a SAMBA! Whew! So much content, way more than the routines on DWTS (yes even with the longer time). Those samba rolls were awesome. I don't watch SCD, but the fact that she didn't top the leaderboard is a travesty cause this would've been more than enough for the US!

In previous years there were dancers who were outstanding but lost out to people who were more popular for example - Danny Mac, Ricky Whittle, Kellie Bright, Natalie Gumede etc. I really hope that Alexandra Burke does not suffer the same fate. she is absolutely sensational and far better than any of the others in the competition. Nobody can ever beat Danny And Oti’s Samba. That was a masterpiece. The difference between Gorka and Alexandra was clearly visible. Her moves lack crisp. But should’ve gotten at least a 9.
My favourite of the night :) i feel like the judges are undermarking her on purpose so if she wins then it won't be so obvious. even though everyone and their mother's can see that Alex is the best dancer this year and it's not even close
If Ruth and Anton's Samba is a joke, then this is serious business. Really don't like the music, but it was full of content, the bounce is there too. 8.5!
Scd Observer She has had training from Craig in the past. Therefore they will need to mark her harshly to keep up competition. It is very unfair that she has come in with so much practice.
7 is harsh. I think being undermarked is not the end of the world for a front-runner of the competition. Alex is a dead cert finalist. And I have said this in week one. I think it's Gorka's year.
It's not just that she's in the bottom half - if you think about it she was almost last. With so many drawing results, the bottom pair were given 7 points instead of 1 - Alexandra had only 9, so basically this whole week is a popularity contest. And I don't see her getting too many votes, especially if people don't realise she desperately needs them. I think maybe in the dance-off, but the judges would definitely save her. Exciting though!
The actual scores are irrelevant - its points on the leaderboard that count. And Alexandra was only given 9 - how many were Simon / Brian / Ruth / Susan awarded? 7 - Only 2 point difference! It will be close believe me.
I GUESS she's not the show's pick to win? They were way down on her. I don't think there's another celeb who could've performed this half as well. I thought she did really well but then I saw the judges scores???
It was done deliberately so she isn't top of the leader-board every week. She'll be back on form next week in terms of scoring. I still think she'll make the final.
Undermarked big time. I hate it when I can see Strictly playing games and judges pushing certain celebs by overlooking technique in favour of entertainment, but Alex can be placed in a dangerous position on leader-board by these judging tactics. For me this dance was a 9
let's see if Gemma Atkinson can do a samba like this. I don't think so. No other female in the competition can dance like Alexandra. she is in a league of her own.
Obviously not as good as last week's and it wasn't quite Danny Mac's Samba, but this was still another great performance from my favourite couple. I would have thought all 8s but the judges like to be picky with some contestants and don't care about the others. God knows how Shirley gave Susan a 7!?
The problem with the judges being so wowed by her dance last week, is now they have nowhere to go with the marking because they were too generous too quickly. If anyone else danced like this, they’d get a higher score than she did, if that makes sense?
The marking was spot on for this routine, it was the issue with the pigeon toes which threw the balance of the technical appearance of the samba off. It was still good but not great.... saying that the samba is extremely difficult to get so there shouldn't be disappointment with them scores at all
They undermarked her so it doesn't look like she's running away with it is my guess. What is the point of having people who have danced before on this show when they are good from the start. She is amazing no doubt but she was amazing from week 1.
The judging was one sided and biased, typical of these "judge's " inability to mark fairly she deserved at least 29 but undermarked yet again!!! Wth is going on
I always applaud the band and the music they make for the show, but for a samba this was so dull and lifeless, needed to be louder and a more sassy song.
