Eventually, somebody, somewhere, will awaken to the FACT that "statistics" are generated from 'DATA' which is nothing more than what THE Database Administrator (or a small team of them) decide it is. Or, perhaps I should say, what they're TOLD it is. When you KNOW this (after 23 years in the Australian Finance Industry as an Operations Analyst on mainframe systems), you realise anything - EVERYTHING - be it an institutional balance sheet, a bank account, medical records or perhaps even election results - are entirely at the mercy of an incredibly limited number of people, many of whom (being gutless cowards) will "do what they're told, and keep their mouths SHUT".
Thank you, this is the key that opens the door to understanding how global power infiltrates all national bureaucracies anywhere. The lower echelons of workers then blindly create procedures that are based on flawed data and statistics.
