LOL can't argue any or that. Well it was Dex who drove her middle age hormones crazy. I'd not seen this and had to head back 20 or so seconds to check out the car. It was kinda like 'That was a strange looking high end antique British motorcar'.

I often wondered why they had Alexis drive off in a cater waiter's Oldsmobile then I learned they recycled footage of a car crash from the movie "Impulse". For all of Aaron Spelling's talk of "Dynasty" being glamorous he sure was cheap.
Now thats really shocking to find out after so many decades lol......I checked the Movie its on RU-vid.....if you Stop at 2:30 you can still see the climpse of the actors from that Movie standing on the right side lol....the impact of the car is from a different Angle tho.
She was so hurt and distraught by Dex's comment that she would end up being a lonely lady and that she should look at herself in the mirror, that she just said, "Fuck this, I'll just take off in the first car I see and I don't give a shit if it's classless and dowdy and not my taste." She wouldn't have picked that in the first place if she was thinking straight, which clearly, she wasn't.
I kind of felt bad for Alexis here --it was out of character for her, but she got really upset. Luckily, she was back to herself pretty soon (after being rescued by a handsome stranger...)
I think Alexis would have called Dex a cheat and a man with no morals considering he slept with her daughter. Alexis wouldn't leave like that I feel. Also that dress was....yikes. But Dex really had no right to stand there and act as if he was better than her when he betrayed her ultimately.
I think I heard Aaron Spelling already had that car crash scene used for something else, and that's why the got Alexis to get into the same car model to paste it together.
She was upset, which is not the best mental condition to be in plus had done some drinking 《probably not enough for a DUI though) and driving a bit too fast. That, plus turning her head at a critical second and possible lack of experience, caused her to lose control and go off the bridge.
Probably he got a new car and a nice pay off so he could care less about Criminal Charges. probably got a camaro or Buick Regal out of it and some gas money.
After Adam & Dana got back from their honeymoon and the siege was over at the mansion, in between tracking down Sean, she probably had Adam pay him off enough for a rew car plus extra for his inconvenience in exchange for declining to press or dropping any charges.

The dress was fabulous. An 18th C design on a commedia dell’arte brightened in pink. The Oldsmobile theft/car crash, over eyeliner crying and soapy nonsense from Dex was all pure CAMP. NO show did any of this better back in the 80’s. It was a compelling and ludicrous watch simultaneously. You just couldn’t look away.
I love the dress. Cocktail dress with puffed sleeves. This series is written in fashion history book. But yeah those baroque pearls earrings are hideous..lmao
Nader somehow managed to have great chemistry with the two biggest soap suprstars ever - Joan Collins and Susan Lucci. He managed to hold his own with these divas.
No one had ever seen Alexis drive before...or ever gotten in a car anything less than a Jaguar. Most of the time it was that White Rolls Royce Phantom with the blacked out windows and chauffer. I think the car she drove off the bridge in was a 1973 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. I was surprised she fastened her seat belt before driving off! The seat belt looked pre 1974 as it didn't have that little loop on the headrest that all GM cars had from 1974-1977!!!

This scene is too much. Where to start. First Dex was right and reiterates some of the comments Krystal has made. Alexis has n othing without her family she has a very shallow life. The truth hurts. And we all could anticipate a slap or throwing - water - really one would have thought it was champagne. Second even for the 80's those earrings and dress. She looked like the loser in a Ibridesmaid contest. But even for the 80's those earrings were too much with that dress. I am suprised Ms. Collins did not protest. And it says a lot how upset Alexis was to drive off in that "junk". Lol. Much preferred Krystal's understated elegance!
How about right out of the gate, the way Blake and Krystle stand there bidding Alexis and her wig goodnight, like they’re friends, and then Alexis gave a retort that landed with a thud.
