I was so into this that I rang my mom immediately after to demand she sign over the South China Sea oil leases she stole from me, and also to ask her if she could lend me 50 quid until Friday.
@@wemarama2414 this was second time Blake presented Ben and alexis with papers. He also did it in a hotel in south China. That was sometime around this same season I believe.
"You can sleep in the master bedroom tonight, because I'm planning on having it disinfected in the morning!" I love that line! R.I.P. John Forsythe, he was a good actor!
It's hard to believe that she wasn't the first choice for the role. Sophia Loren was, but she passed on it, so Joan got the part. To this day, I can't imagine how Sophia could have done Alexis justice!
@@legaleagle46 I've heard Sophia, Jessica Walter and Raquel Welch were the three Aaron Spelling was most interested in. I think Sophia would have been a big draw, but not interesting enough to keep past the six-episode arc that was originally intended for the character. Jessica Walter would kept the show where it was--a decent but not distinct primetime soap. But I think Raquel might have delivered some of the energy needed to make Alexis work. But really, it was never anyone's role but Joan's.
I always loved the fact that Alexis wore a velvet blood red gown to her own ‘Black and White Ball’ !! Classic Alexis!! I always loved Her and Krystles gowns in this episode!! They’re both just stunningly beautifully gorgeous!!!
Linda Evan’s absolutely HATED that hairstyle! She begged for it to be changed but they were behind in shooting schedule and was overruled! I thought it was a nice , different style!
@@keithjohnson3199 I rather liked it as well myself! I was a nice change, especially since she very rarely ever changed it. Sometimes she wore it up in a bun, but it was always the same for the most part. But I think she looks just gorgeous here! As does Alexis!
he had a blessing in every series . with the screen itself i could identify if it was a AS production and when i saw his name at the end i could be proud to say '' i knew it '' .
I guess you never use such kind of language to one’s ex, who even gave him so much children....oil to fire. It’s my favorite show🤦🏻♀️but I’m starting to see many misogynistic parts on one of main characters it’s shame. The hero got to be sexy, and not behave like some old President.
Blake was channeling his inner Harpo Marx when he kept pulling out document after document! lol 😂 I was expecting to see him pull out a few candelabras and a sterling silver tea service! lol 😂
I prefer Blake's parting shot, it was SO OUCH!!! "Oh...you can sleep in the master bedroom tonight, I'm planning on having it disinfected in the morning!'' 😂😂😂
Blake knows how to outfox Alexis & Ben. He got Denver-Carrington, & his family house back. Alexis was lucky to be able to spend her last night in the Carrington mansion. That was more she gave Blake, Krystle, and their daughter when Alexis kicked them out.
Let's give a shout out to the late Nolan Miller. He knew how to dress those ladies well-the clothes, the jewels. Nothing like it since, which is too bad. Today's fashions are so boring.
Yeah, this is the only time the entire series Linda Evans wore her hair in a style other than her bangs! lol It does seem more appropriate for a dinner party, though. I couldn't see her going with this style all the time.
But Alexis is the real star. At least nowadays she would be. Krystle only exists for her husband, whereas Alexis was able to carve her own destiny as an independent woman.
GOD I love this woman! Ever since I saw Dynasty and this elegant creature as a child in the eighties, I knew, I wanted to be like her and damn it I was. I have the black hair, the elegant make-up and the dont-screw-with-me-attitude! LONG LIVE ALEXIS! 💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤
Blake to Alexis: "You can sleep in the master bedroom tonight. I'm having it disinfected tomorrow. " Dang, that was vicious. Treated her like she was a giant STD or something.
Hilarious response.I truly enjoyed this episode that I had to replay it 3 times again😅😅the look on that ratchet Alexis's face with all those lies she and Ben told to steal everything from Blake was priceless.I haven't laughed like this in very long time. Blake was like a sexy Perry Mason / James Bond with all those papers coming out of his jacket like knives 🔪 😂😂cutting up his evil ex-wife and Conniving brother. Finally, the best line is, "You can spend one more in the master bedroom. I'm having it disinfected in the morning 😅😅😅😅 OMG you Go Blake RIP John Forsythe you very handsome and sexy guy❤
Can't believe dynasty was made over 40 years ago. I was just 11 and in my first year at wallsingham secondary school for girls when dynasty was first showed in the UK. How time flies where has the time gone? My favourite American soap of all time. This scene is epic and so funny. Blake destroyed both Alexis and Ben in this scene. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Love from the UK ❤️🙏👍
I think the best part about the entire scene (both, during the party; then in the library), was that Blake was threatening Alexis..And she knew he'd follow through. But it was her final expression that killed it: her head trembling and eyes glazed with tears of terror!~
She was oh so stupid. Everytime she won , there was little time to celebrate her triumph lol The show would have been so much better if her character was murdered in the end..
Alexis always wore a different color gown then everyone at the gala events on the show. She wore red several times. When SHe was at what would’ve been Jeff and Fallon’s wedding at the end of season 4 when she was arrested for Mark Jenning’s murder.
Why wasn't Krystle in the room for this scene? It's like these writers had no idea what drove the show. A few catty barbs between Krystle and Alexis would have amped this scene up to 11.
+thepete And worse, leaving Krystle out of the main confrontation gives the impression that she's really only in Blake's life for decoration. Say what you will about Alexis, the only time she filled that role was with Cecil; any other man, she was very much an equal partner, if not a superior one.
I don't think Jason shared his brother Cecil's sentiments about Alexis as he refused to do business with her in The Californians. He probably felt uncomfortable dealing with women in power.
@Buffalo 66 have you seen John Forsythe and Linda Evans in her TV debut, 'Bachelor Uncle'? The age gap was even more obvious back then, she was merely 18 at the time, while he was 43 and she was quite flirty with him in that episode
