Edited reaction to The Golden Girls (1985) - S2:E4 - It's a Miserable Life | Canadian Reaction | TV Commentary.
We are back with another THE GOLDEN GIRLS REACTION. Today, we are watching IT'S A MISERABLE LIFE. In this episode, the girls try to save a 200 year old tree from being demolished. The only thing that stands in their way is the neighbour onto who's lawn the tree is. Unfortunately, this neighbour hates trees and people 😩🤣 As such, Rose gets upset with her and tells her to drop dead...which she does!!! This leads our girls to host a funeral for the late curmudgeon with no friends or family. This episode was so funny and insightful! I can't wait for you to watch it.
The Golden Girls is an amazing AMERICAN SITCOM that follows four older ladies living in a house together and their shenanigans.

Frieda Claxton is one of the most well known guest characters in the history of the show. Any GG fan can usually quote at least one thing she said in this episode, from "I didn't recognize you with your clothes on" to "You're the one with nothing going on in your bedroom." Claxton takes "mean girl" to a whole other level!

To be fair, he just misjudged the situation, but normally, the funeral home would have been called ahead of time, and an appointment made. My guess is it’s a normal occurrence at a funeral home where they have people coming in to get those preparations made ahead of time (even maybe years in advance), and paid for, especially if they’re older, or if the person has a terminal illness.

it's amazing how they got the orator/oral joke, past the censors, in the 80's. Dorothy's p'funeral sounds like a blooper, they decided to keep.

That line was used in the show Benson as well. Similar scenario jerk dies in Benson’s house and he pays for funeral but he was bereaved on a budget as well. Not sure if that line was used too but same mortuary setting tho i think. Same writers so this was recycled partly

I love the fact that the show writers got to give Rose a chance to be the bold and smart one. She was bold enough to confront Mrs Claxton about how everyone felt about her at the council meeting, while she also figured out how to save the tree by burying Mrs Claxton's ashes which in my books is smart. Im also in love with Blanche's stories as a teenager 😂😂, the woman was wild as hell

Well, in "Take Him, He's Mine", when Dorothy asks Rose to go out with Stan for a while, she mentioned that she is not very good at understanding people's problems and that she has the highest suicide rate in the office. So who knows how many people she has killed. And also there was another episode where she talked about celebrating Grandma Nylund's 100th birthday, and she along with others basically killed her when they all surprised her.

I'm soon to be 47 yrs old. The Golden Girls was my all time favorite tv series. I have the complete collection of the Golden Girls series... Sophia was my favorite . Great writers, characters. May they all be resting in Peace❤.

@@AlexxaReacts Hate to have to say this but one of the last episodes of Are You Being Served (Christmas) has an offensive “comedy” bit. It’s a great tv series but made a one mistake just like Ted Danson did while dating Whoopi years ago.

There was an elderly lady in knew, she was ok with me but not the nicest person really but ok with me She was telling a group of us about a fight with her neighbor it got nasty. On the way home i was thinking “wow that lady must be the “Frieda Claxton of her neighborhood”. The next morning get a call the lady died that night in her sleep. I turn on tv and this episode was playing on Golden Girls on Hallmark or whatever
