IKR! a lot of his jokes are pretty witty IMO. For example: I got the Barbecue lit. Specifically the wheels. Hey Kate, where do you keep your casserole dishes? Why? The cat won't fit in the toaster. Sutelor! the gas is on. I forgot to light the oven. Oh well. Better late than never. KABOOM! Aww!........... Well I guess we'll have to order in. We had a Robin hood on Melmac. Did he take from the rich and give to the poor? No. He just stole the hoods of peoples' cars.
Guys, Alf is not missed as you say. He's with us as long as he lives in our hearts. The show ended twenty five years ago and look - we all still are here, we remember him and that's how he lives! He is our idol, he made our childhood and he will never go away because we'll never forget him! Every time I have a problem, I call Alf and the problem solves in hours that same day. Alf is a compass for us, a powerful one, by the way, and if we will believe he exists - he will exist! Just don't forget him and he won't be gone! Alf bless you!!!!
I love this show! ALF needs to be in the new fall lineup. Me and my son (who was 3 years old when ALF came on) used to watch this together every week. Priceless!!
There’s a lot more options for television now than back when ALF first aired and the broadcasters, especially on network broadcast television, are fighting for whatever little audiences they can still get. It’s all about what will get viewers and sponsors.
@@deionpehowdy Yeah, they're either not in the DVD set, or they were heavily censored, due to controversial themes. If you watch Toy Galaxy's history of Alf video, he mentions something like that.
Willie was the perfect counterpoint to ALF. Max Wright had a theater background and clearly brought a lot to his performance, especially considering how messy and tediously time-consuming it was filming episodes of the series.
I'm 30 knew of alf but never watched the show and until now I been binge watching every episode on RU-vid for free with of course a ad or two in every episode sometimes 1 and it's so funny and great comedy
They need to have an ALF reunion. I love this show. I've been on youtube for a couple hours. Its midnight and i couldnt think of a better way to end the night than a great laugh from ALF. So funny.
Max Wright is dead now, so a full reunion is no longer possible. Also, you may not like what they’d have to say. The cast members were interviewed years ago by People magazine and they all said that filming the series was a hellish and tedious experience because of all the puppet work involved in the shots.
thank you for having this I loved him in 1986 in still do now you helped bring back some memories i always liked his dad to one time he said alf was grounded!
I wonder how much of Willie's anger and frustration towards Alf is Max Wright's actual anger and frustration towards Paul Fusco bleeding through into his performance.
Very likely considering what Wright and all the other cast members have said about how extremely taxing and tedious it was to tape episodes of the series with all the puppetry work. But if it adds to the realism and humor of the performances, that can’t help but not be a plus.
The funniest scene on Alf is where he is hiding under the Parents bed.Willie try's to scare him out from under the bed by jumping up and down. Alf says."Way to go Willie"
One of the funniest moments I recall from watching ALF when ALF pigs out at the dinner table. While he's downing everything, Lynn (the daughter) exclaims, "He didn't even say grace. ALF stops eating and he says, "GRACE!"
i love it! the best part is offcource the window closing twice, and where he says "he's quick, i'll give em that" love it, the dutch subtitles where cool to
I think this tv serie brought one if not THE best christmas special ever made. If you love Alf i can really recommend the christmas special from season 2... It's an amazing piece of work in my opinion.
Another funny moment I remember with ALF, was when Alf sings "The Song that doesn't end", then he asks Willie how the reast of the song goes, then Willie tells him to be Quiet, Then Alf starts singing: "Just be Quiet, Just be Quiet" over and over. But I forget which episode it was from?
It’s interesting you say that, because I’m sure they tried extremely hard to make the character design be something that would be aesthetically kid-friendly.
