I'm legit sad right now for all the teens who didn't get to experience early RU-vid. It was such a better, carefree experience. You could message each other, 5 star ratings, no annoying censorship, and the best part... NO ADS. I miss this era so much!
I loved old RU-vid as anyone could upload anything and there was no demonetisation, no age restriction and no monitoring of videos so you could be free to do whatever. You could literally just find porn on RU-vid at one point.
@@techyrelic Lol yes those too! The internet as a whole was less restrictive and more expressive. Now there are just too many rules and it feels like it's become a workplace rather than fun.
@@clintonharvey2384 Embarrassing? This was the golden era. Before this website became some ad-infested hellhole full of makeup streamers and reaction channels. This is what RU-vid was supposed to be: People having fun.
@@clintonharvey2384 It was the 2000s. We all enjoyed simpler things, and didn't think everything was "cringe". You didn't need an hour long, highly edited, HD/4K vid to be entertained.
2006. The internet and the world were so different. It was amazing watching the internet become more and more relevant over the years. It was exciting. The world has changed so much. I miss those times.
Only ppl who remember no computers and no internet can appreciate the beginning of the internet 💙🤖🦋 Here's to private chat rooms, dial up, the magic of faxing, and the very first ever Sims computer game. 🥂
Even after 17yrs ago, when this was first Put on RU-vid, My Teenagers found this and showed me. Now they're very busy with their own family! This Video is a Classic! Thank you for sharing this with us! May God Bless you and keep you safe ❤️
This video is so nostalgic for me. It’s such a bittersweet feeling. I miss my childhood and this was a wholesome way to reconnect with it. Incredible, even all these years later!
When I was a kid I learned all the dances Judson performs. And later I would perform the whole sequence to my family and guests with the video playing in the background 😄 I think I would still nail it after all these years LOL! I'm 28 now.😆 Thank you for all the joyful memories ❤ Love from Poland 🙂
The term "legend" gets throws around way too often now, but this video, this man, is a bonafide RU-vid OG/Legend. This video is the equivalent of going platinum 10 times over in terms of nostalgia..
It will never get old, I love watching this video! The first time I saw it, middle son found it 17 years it had just popped up on RU-vid! I didn’t know a thing about YT, but after watching this video, I learned everything I could! I watch this video at least twice a year now! That first year I watched it so much I do every dance right along with him😂😂😂😂then my son that showed me he joined in and we’d do it together!! So much fun!!
after randomly remembering this video it took me about an hour of googling ‘man dancing on stage red t shirt’ ‘dance performance early youtube’ and things like that, but I finally found this absolute gem of childhood nostalgia again and I am SO SO HAPPY I can’t wait to show this to everyone I know again
I'm so glad I found this, it's one of the ultimate classics of video goodness. When my little ones get older I'm gonna learn this whole dance with them.
WHEN THIS VIDEO WAS UPLOADED: George Bush was President There was no such thing as an iPhone Michael Jackson and Steve Irwin were alive There were 1 BILLION fewer people in the world Sadam Husein was President of Iraq A 2GB USB cost $30 How time flies
I was graduating highschool when this debuted. Razer phones and DSL high speed internet 😅. Take me back!!! Love how it left off at "Dust Off Your Shoulders". Makes me think of the dance moves that have came since. Wish this had a 20th anniversary update in 2026 🤞🤞
I remember logging into RU-vid everyday from 2008-2010 and this was ALWAYS the most viewed video on the platform. I miss old RU-vid so much. More customizable channels, friends list, messages, the ability to comment on a persons channel, and the legendary 5 star ratings and the yellow subscribe button. Why did it all have to change…
YTP's, 4chan memes (what is love is the first thing that comes to mind), Anime Hell , English dubbed anime separated in 4 parts, and RU-vid God's like Chocolate rain, Angry German kid, Angry video game critic, OK Go, the guy that sings that flea markets are just like a mini mall, Big Bill Hell, early Shane Dawson, Fred and the Numa numa guy all mixed into one beautiful site. The quality sucked at times but when the videos were made with love and for the sakes of having fun instead of promoting a tv show, album or whatever will make the person money.
Something I’m kind of glad I got to experience tbh.. Just thinkin bout that old homepage with the yellow subscribe button brings hella memories back haha
I've seen a lot of these over the years, but this guy is the best ever! He never misses a beat and the nuances are amazing. It never gets old! I could watch him all day long.
My dad actually showed this to me when it was new, it was one of his favorites. He passed away recently, and watching this just reminded me of that moment.. watching this guy dance and laughing with Dad. Cherish those close to you, everyone. And cherish these years if you're still a teenager. If you would have told me when i first saw this video that 14 years later i would watch this and cry afterwards. I am 32 now. Time is strange to go so slow and fast like it does.
I can't be this old! My friends and I were amazed and obsessed with this when it came out all them years ago. Shit felt good to be a kid when YT was just starting out. Sure as hell nothing like today. 10 year old me loved this.

***** well to name a few, songs about ass, lots more sexual things(lyrics/video),and most of it is less catchy and pointless i remember when songs made you feel inspired or at the very least had meaning to it and did not have dumbass titles or stupid lyrics not to mention product placement sometimes.
Now never let it be asked again Song 1: 0:02 Hound Dog - Elvis Pressley Song 2: 0:14 Twist - Chubby Checker Song 3: 0:32 Stayin' Alive - Bee Gees Song 4: 0:39 YMCA - The Village People Song 5: 0:55 Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting - Carl Douglas Song 6: 1:03 Keep On - The Brady Bunch Song 7: 1:17 Grease Lightning - John Travolta Song 8: 1:29 You Shook Me All Night Long - AC/DC Song 9: 1:41 Billie Jean - Michael Jackson Song 10: 1:50 Thriller - Michael Jackson Song 11: 1:58 Augustus Gloop Song (or just Oompa Loompa song, I'm not sure, they have a few) - Oompa Loompas Song 12: 2:04 Mr. Roboto - Styx Song 13: 2:15 One For The Treble - Davy DMX (I think the one in the video is a remix, the original is cool tho) Song 14: 2:17 ''Break It'' but that is a guess, and by the sounds of it, I will guess the artist was - Ross Gellar Song 15: 2:27 Walk Like An Egyptian - The Bangles Song 16: 2:37 The Bird Dance - The Emeralds Song 17: 2:42 Mony Mony (like a pony.. I'd love to know how many times I've watched this over the years. I was 16 when this dropped and some guys at school copied it for an assembly, was awesome 😂

I remember watching this in high school and was mesmerized by the talent. Being young then and not knowing much about things and getting exposed to much. And it inspired my love of music and expanded my genre of music listened to. Good times!

+Zerfallsgesetz Don't forget the side bar description box, commenting on a channel's page, and RU-vid medals (#1 most popular video in Canada this month etc...)
This man just spoke at my school for a leadership conference-- and taught us his dance! What a life changing experience. He's very motivational, despite his silliness occassionally.
@@judsonlaipply my dude, the fact that you are still on here after 17 years inspiring people is an inspiration in itself. Right on dude. I want to learn your dance.
