Hey, Griffin! So glad to have found your channel. Big auto enthusiast over here, and really love your video. I am also the very grateful owner of a 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia QV in Trofeo White. I’m in love with the car and enjoy it more and more each passing day. I’ve had the same Centerline X-pipe installed, a BMC Air Filter, and a custom ECU upgrade by Fabspeed Motorsports. I was one of the first with this particular tune, as Fabspeed’s master tuner also owns a QV and has really perfected the tune. I love it. Exhaust valves are opened in both Dynamic and Race modes and closed in both Advanced Eco and Normal modes. Would love to swap stories and talk shop if and when you have time. I see the CA plate. Thank you for this. Waiting to hear more comments about the x pipe whistle. I am on the fence about buying the x-pipe as the design was recently changed. Previously the hangers mounting used to be in front of the flex section. Now the new design has the hanger behind the flex section just like oem. Alfa9 has provided a picture for me. I think this would cause increased NVH as oem has the hangers behind the flex which would allow the engine more room to move on the engine mounts. I can email you pictures if needed to show you the difference. I also wonder if the whistling has anything to do with the sprint filter. Ive installed the sprint filter as well and one thing I noticed as I have been doing alot of research about people getting the clean side of their intake dirty with sprint filters is that sometimes the top of the filter closest to the front of the car is not seated properly and under heavy load the filter can crumple at that zones. If you get a chance, just check your filter doesn't have any crumple zones as well. Overall great video and if you get a chance can you check your x pipe closest to the engine side to see where the hangers are mounted. I'm sure the new design decreases NVH.

The noises very much depend on engine load, if you are light on the pedal the maps dont interrupt ignition that hard. The harder you are on the car, the harder it bangs.

Re ending: the tires look great to me.

I got too busy at work or we would have dropped our recent videos on the same day 😆 there’s only so many 20min QV videos people can watch! I’m having a custom x-pipe developed to compliment my downpipes. After talking to the guy who installed my DPs and getting opinions on existing options for the mid pipe it seems like the way to go. I’ve heard the full centerline system and it’s just too deep for my liking and when I asked him about the midpipe he said it’s more of a v8 design where such a sharp crossover gives it that deep sound. That seems to check out with my experience and resonate a bit with some of your comments on the mid section

re. whistle - Did you change the filter? I have exactly the same car, same xpipe - but have a Sprint Filter, if I change it back, no whistle. It's the exact same sound as yours.

Hmm haven't heard anybody else mention about that noise, i definitely hear it though.

The whistle reminds me of early exhausts for the Gen V Viper. Normally I'd say wastegate's but I don't think that's the case. It's some kind of baffle issue or something in the exhaust.

Much sound difference from the intake filter on its own ?

was there any check engine light after the X pipe installed?

Nice video. I welded an x-pipe section on the oem exhaust instead and haven't had any issues. 1/3 of the price too if it's not a lease. I kinda like the oversized tires

The air noise or air whistle at high rpm is air rushing at the exhaust . Is due to the center line x pipe, I got same car with same x pipe and I even drove in the back seat and the noise is coming from the muffler. Is due to much air rushing out.

I think the turbocharged engine doesn’t sing like V6 made in the past by Alfa. Same opinion for whole turbocharged engines. Just lesson a Porsche GT3 at 9000rpm to understand. Of course it’s only my humble opinion
