I see the file in my google drive on a fire tablet but nothing shows unless it takes a minute....did I do something wrong as I just have a white screen?
Hey Justin, So after you connect alfaOBD, You go to the two tools that are crisscrossed on the top right hand corner. Then hit View faults and status log. Then tap BODY_CHRYSLER_info That should populate every setting that your truck has. Then make sure you are signed in to the Google drive app and then tap upload to Google drive. if that doesn't work for some reason you could always save it to email, there's that option also. I know for a while alfaOBD had bug and it was a problem trying to upload to Google drive. I know somebody came up with a work around in the RAM forum. Look on page 1. www.ramforum.com/threads/alfaobd.123982/page-1181#post-2328544 There is a ton of information on this thread. If what I suggested doesn't fix the problem, you can always ask a question in the RAM forum. Maybe somebody else has a different solution that will work. Let me know how it turns out. I'll see you in the Ram forum and thanks for your support brother!
@@bigdaddyshouse yeah I had the sign in issue at first that’s not the issue I did everything in your video. After I tap body Chrysler I just get a white screen it doesn’t populate

No problem Thanks for supporting watching. If you really want to do some learning here's the form I got all my information from. www.ramforum.com/threads/alfaobd.123982/page-1181#post-2328544 It's a lot of information man! Have fun modding
You can do both but i HIGHLY RECOMMEND upload to Google drive before doing any changes that way something happens and causes issues you can go back to factory settings or to previous settings before you made changes not only that but you can print off your log from Google drive so you have a handy log book in hand instead of back and forth between the apps it makes it so much easier to print off than jumping back and forth
I got the MX+ for my AlfaOBD because I have a couple iOS obd tools on my iPhone. Handy for diagnostics on my other cars and when I don’t have my Android tablet with me in my Ram. Also have a couple other diagnostic apps on my tablet besides AlfaOBD that work with the MX+ for my other cars.
Hey brotha just got the sport mirrors for my ram 1500 how do I activate them to have puddle lights turn on and have blinkers just bought the App and the plug thing
This is really nice video, nice to have a possibility to load system ID back from the saved file. I had so many changes in my BCM and dealer few times made it back to original. It's a pain to change my wanted settings back one by one, so save Your system ID and upload is back if needed.
Do you know if there a way to get rear view cam view of hitch on 2018 ram like they do others? They have a icon on other and side of screen that shows temp compass and rear view icon, it’s be nice look a hitch while driving once awhile to check it

Congratulations on your new truck Bill. So I just open up the alfaOBD app for you to see if 2021 was in there In the new update does in fact have 2021 in there. Sorry Carl, only system ID items like: Door locks, windows, lighting etc. It's basically a list on what is enabled or disabled on your truck. Thanks for the support Carl!
Hey rob, AlfaOBD has made some changes as far as adding some more options but my tutorial for led still holds true. And you won't need to change anything for interior LED. Just change out the bulbs and you're all good. Thanks for watching and your support brother

my ram 2500 has electric folding mirrors they work fine when I press the button. What I would like is for them to automatically fold when I lock the truck like many other cars will do. Big Daddy can AlfaOBD solve this problem?
Actually have not tried it yet because I haven't done anything that requires the pin quite yet. But I hear it works well! That's probably how I will acquire my pin instead of going to the dealer. Good comment.
@@thedieslexpress I used it today to pull the pin so I could reset rf hub after changing tpms settings. You have to have 50 credits to pull from a ram so you have to buy some from the app no big deal it pulled the pin on the 3rd try
Sorry yasel you can not. You'll either need to get a pedal commander or a tuner to do that. Keep in mind though if you get a tuner you will only be able to increase it by 20%. And you will not be able to increase or decrease it on the fly. This is because you have to write a tune every time you want to change those parameters. A pedal commander though is plug and play. It can't be increased or decreased anytime your vehicle is in idol. And the sport plus plus mode is insane. I actually have videos on how to do both. Hope this helped man Thanks for watching and your support!

crash68 from the ram forum made a statement on my thread over there. I'm posting it here to help further inform you...... He said, Another outstanding video but at about the 4:35 minute mark you mention that the MX+ only works with Apple (iOS), that's not entirely true. MX+ works with both iOS and Android. The benefits of going with the MX+ aside from working with iOS is it's supposed to be slightly faster than the MX version and it comes with advanced diagnostic. There is no advantage of using the MX+ with AlfaOBD.

@@bigdaddyshouse Okay thanks for the help man, I got it to work. The other issue I'm having has to do with my lights which I could use some help with. I know you have videos on using leds but I'm not seeing any of the same settings for my dodge dart. I'm trying to get rid of the bulb out error for my license plate light because it is led but the only led options that I see are for turn signals and more importantly I want to get rid of my high beam/low beam headlight out errors for my HIDs but dont see any hid settings other than "xenon headlamps" which I tried to enable but keeps failing saying "ecu detected parameters with values outside allowable range". Only other setting close to that is "headlamp led management" but I tried that too and am still getting these canbus errors. I've tried it multiple times as well as clearing the BCM fault codes with alfaobd, but they always come right back. I haven't even been able to get resistors to work for my HIDs for some reason, maybe I'm doing something wrong but this sucks. Also my hid wiring harness only hooks up to one side of the factory bulb harness, thought maybe that's part of it but apparently that's just how they're all designed.
so enabling xenon is correct for HIDs but you also have to remove the ballast and any resistors that are involved in the HIDs. You don't need them. Having them in is whats causing your error.
@@bigdaddyshouse I didn't think I could remove the ballasts, my car's factory headlights weren't originally meant for HIDS but you're saying if I just unplug them from the ballasts/rest of wiring harness, and try plugging them directly into the factory harness, then run the "Xenon" procedure it should work? Suppose I can try that and see if it does the trick. What about the LEDs for my license plate, any idea? I don't see any settings for that other than what I've already mentioned.
Yep that's exactly what we do in the RAM forum. what you're basically doing is telling the PCM that you already have HIDs so it doesn't need all that other BS. Just plug it into the factory wiring set alfa and you should be good to go. (Well, for the Ram this is true) And for the LED license plate you may have to go with canbus safe LED's if there's no option in alfaOBD. I'm not familiar with messing around in the settings with Dodge dart but let me fire up the app and see if I can find anything. I'll check back in a moment.

The free version will allow you to do diagnostics only. So yes, you will need to pay for the full version to make any changes. I think it was $50. That sounds like a lot of money for a Google app but it is the best 50 bucks I ever spent on my truck! Hope this helps brother Happy Modding!
Hey Fred, that's a good point. I've never actually used the PC version cuz I'm too cheap to pay the extra 50 bucks for it. Lol But I've seen screenshots and whatnot on the RAM forum. It is definitely a different beast. I hear it is also faster at making changes and sometimes more accurate especially if you're changing your mileage and hours. Thanks for the comment brother.
Can you please please help me finding some pc version instructions as you gentleman's mentioned it's totally different. Just wanted to activate the remote start on a Dodge charger 17 after bypassed the hood latch switch.
I tried it for fun it doesn't work. The reason is, it's more like an Android Appliance and not an Android device. So basically it can receive signals and understand them but it will not send.... Good question Brody. Thanks for the support
