Omg! I swore this was Stephanie Mills singing...this is and will always be a beautiful song! Much love to Alfie and the cast and crew of THE LAST DRAGON!
This song is a classic from the 80's movie The Last Dragon. They did a huge disservice by not putting it on the soundtrack. May of us were never able to find it because we all thought it was Stephanie Mills. I think this may be why Alfie didn't get the credit she deserved for this amazing song that us 80's kids and many others still love today! Thank God for u RU-vid!!!!!
I’ve literally searched for this song for 20 years now- when I got my first computer with Napster and lime wire. This whole time I thought Vanity sang it. I’m finally at peace 😁
Laura Charles was willingly tossing Leroy them panty draws and all he wanted was a damn belt buckle back. Smh. He coulda got "The Glow" that night. Lmao
The "give me your love" scene from "Last Dragon" really stood out to me and was really my favorite. Just the intensity in that scene alone was crazy lol, and mainly because of vanity. The way her beauty just poured out was amazing! When she said "I know what's it like to lose precious things, and then of course to find them again" that's when I COMPLETELY FELL IN LOVE with her
Been looking for this song for decades. I sent a request to iTunes asking them to add this. Fingers crossed. I just love this song sooo much. The Last Dragon is my all time favorite movie but they dropped the ball by not adding this to the soundtrack.
Leroy coulda found something else other than that damn buckle that night. But like Richie said he probably would even know what to do with it. Chocolate covered yellow pebble. Lmao
Mom has been trying to find this song since she watched the Last Dragon when she was a kid. Just found it for her in like 5 mins lol! We plan on watching this movie together for the thousandth time!
My Damn Jamm!!!!! I been in love with this song since the 80's when I heard it on the movie "The Last Dragon" and it disappointed me when it wasn't on the soundtrack. I also LOOOOVE her song "Star" which is on the soundtrack. Those lyrics... Man I tell ya!
Exactly how i ended up here. I had forgotten about this song as it likely paled in comparison to its contemporaries. When you look back on the music of your past it's precious to find seldom heard gems.
It is good to know I am not the only one who has had a relationship with this song as if it were an elusive lover. One you've longed for and searched for for years only to finally find on the wonderful world wide web. And I see there are many other lovers who have finally found you.....this is a lover I am happy to share.
I did too I thought it was Stephanie Mills also in me and my husband was trying to find the song until we look on the The last dragon and that's when we found it
I am also amongst the obvious many that rewound this part of the movie when they were in Laura's apartment. However, I would like to comment on the compositional genius of the song. Notice the very oriental instrumental that is woven into this song. It not only fit the scene and the characters but the underlying theme and essence of the movie which had a strong martial arts/oriental flair. To top it off, the average person would still chill to this song today. So I say, definitely compositional genius. Not many songs pull this off, not even ones that have gotten Grammy's. So sad that great art rarely gets recognized.
The goosebumps.. stunning beauty, absolutely sensational voice I always wondered why they never added this to The Last Dragon soundtrack its brilliant and so is she. Thank you for sharing🙏
Thank you! Just watched The Last Dragon for the 100th time taking me back to simpler times. This was one of my favorite songs in the movie and I could not identify the singer.
This is one of the most seductive love songs of the 80’s...A certified eargasm. 🎶 Too bad it wasn’t a bigger hit. I just read she is the sister of the late Louil Silas Jr. You would think with him being a well respected executive at the time, he could’ve helped her have a longer career. Then again, not everybody wants the fame.
I was born when this movie came out. Years later as I got older I watched it for the first time, I loved thst movie as with the song. This is timeless music that isn't played any anymore. Wonderful!
I also thought this was Stephanie Mills that was singing this song, every time I watched the Last Dragon, lol. Their voices sounds so much alike.. The Last Dragon is my ultimate all-time favorite movie... #ForeverAClassic
I Thought It Was Stephanie Too Felicia! However I Was Watching "The Last Dragon" Last Week And Since We Live In This Great Technological Age I Looked It Up And Voila! I Am 35 And That Was The Very First Movie I Ever Saw In The Theatres! Yes Indeed A Classic Ma!
Yesss!! I was watching The Last Dragon last week and last night, lol. The Last Dragon came out in '85 and I was born in '84.... That was my very first favorite movie that ever loved....still love til this day. It wasn't til I was 12yrs old when I first saw this movie. Never got tired of it..
This a truly beautiful song, I grew up watching the Last Dragon and still watch it, I know it word for word lol. I have loved this song from the first time I heard it over 35 years ago.
@@THECHAMP1423 I've been finding out not all songs in a movie are listed in the sound track list. Strictly Business and Class Act are two movies I recently rewatched, and not all the songs are on the list either. I understand not all songs in a movie make the cut onto the official soundtrack release, but all the songs should be listed on the wikipedia or site like that.
I have always been a fan of her voice. People may say she sounds like Stephanie Mills, but I thinks she sounds better and smoother. I could listen to her all day.
Great song! But it proves how the connection with a movie video game or memory is so powerful. We all came here because of the last dragon. Whether u loved the movie vanity taimak or martial arts etc. It makes the song that much better. U can't hear this without thinking of that movie. For me it was Vanity the finest woman ever lol
I was 11 or 12 when this movie came out and I loooveed this song when they played it in the movies. Now I sit and watch it on dvd with my 22 and 13yr old and they appreciate the music and the movie.....Nothing like childhood memories!
