It was my pleasure to perform this song in my Master's Recital, in May 2021. Being half Colombian, it was incredible to discover Jaime León Ferro's music. Colombian Art Song for piano and voice with Colombian poetry. Such gorgeous and moving music. I can't wait to explore this more!
Jaime León Ferro was a Colombian composer, director, and pianist. His compositions span a wide vocal and piano repertoire. He is one of the most important figures in music of the 20th century in Colombia and the United States. He was director of the American Ballet Theater Orchestra and the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra among many others.
