@@1stClassMaths Mate I really appreciate you making these videos. In one day I managed to watch all of your grade 6-9 videos and master everything. (I usually get 9s in math but because of the back to back exams I didn't have much time) I then went into the exam feeling confident and managed to answer every question thanks to my knowledge. Hi thanks for this request. I currently receive a lot of requests and I am working through them as fast as I can. It takes me roughly 10 hours of work per video so it might be a while before I get to this one but will do my best.

I was going through this topic the other day and I did well enough that I did some questions in a CGP Targeted Grade 9 workbook for Proof. One of the questions though really stumped me and the mark scheme didn't really explain the answer well. The question was: If a and b are both odd, prove that (a+b)^40 is even Could you explain how you would do this question? I'm trying to aim for a 7+ so I want to be comfortable with similar questions like this.

If a and b are odd then a+b is odd + odd which is even. Then we have even ^ 40 which means even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even, which is even.
