Algicosathlon is a competition with a variety of colored "athletes" that compete in events, eliminating one or multiple athletes as they finish each event. Eventually, one athlete will remain, and will be crowned champion. Many RU-vidrs have created their own variations of Algicosathlon, after Carykh's original. The game has surely evolved and more people are participating in creating their own series. Spin-offs of Algicosathlon include Algicodecathlon, Algotriacontathlon, and more.
