Thank you for this video, it was interesting to see all the details in detail, My friend bought inspired arcade, but in a different configuration complite, I still took away his bike, after it uncomfortable to ride on my ozonys king od dunce v2. Waiting for new video and greetings from Russia

Very interesting for a guy like me who only ride mountainbikes, but at the same time love to watch the stuff that you do. I've had a dirt bike for a short period, which I think is at least somewhat similar to a street trials bike, and it was great fun. The greatest difference to MTB:s was the short chainstays (385 mm in that case). At 37 I'll probably never manage to learn how to manual, but short stays definitely makes popping the front wheel easier. :-) What strikes me the most is that you run pretty "standard" components, which is nice to see! I guess it's not about the bike after all. ;-) Keep the vlog runnig Ali! Just found, it and I love it. Cheers from Sweden.

These videos have been great so far, discovered them today. I like the fighter jet analogy because it's true for almost anything really. There's a lot of bike choice for trials these days but I guess it all comes down to personal preference and choosing what you want to be slightly easier and slightly harder.

Really sick bike, a few things I'm gonna take from this video and try with my own like psi and bar angle. Think this would probably work, how about a three way game of bike with Danny and Duncan

Weird question: I'm currently running maxxis holy rollers on my echo czar 2012, I have about 2mm wheel clearance. I would like to get a pair of Continental tyres, but I don't think they will fit...(rear) Thanks for the bike check! It answerd allot of my questions. Cheers

Thanks for quick reply. Hmm, the difference is 3mm so its a nope for me. Looks like I'm stuck with holly rollers haha. Cheers

Love that you do these vids now, Ali! Nice bits of motivation to watch in the mornings ;) A question I have is - when hitting my wheels sideways, especially the front, I tend to get this ringing noise because the disc vibrates and hits the brake pads (or maybe the pads even swing away from the pistons and hit the disc.. can't really test that) and of course that's annoying.. e.g. on the landings of 360s or half cabs. How did you get rid of that noise? I know you said, you have a lot of pad clearance, did that do the job? (I'm running Saint m810s on 203mm discs) Also, for me the Continental tyres start wobbling on the rim after a few sideways landings. Is that a problem with the Spank Subrosa rims? (the golden ones you were running yourself) Cheers!

Nice setup Ali. So the slx cranks were bending on you eh I'm still not sure what crank to run if I go X type although I did realize watching this if I go from a 175 mm crank arm length to a 170 I would save some clearance as the arm moves further forward away from the wide rear dropouts. What is the BB shell size and distance between the inside of the crank to the inside of the other crank at the end where the pedal attaches.

What kind of pads do you run on the back ? What kind of calipers did you use, that you say the MT6 are the strongest ? are they stronger than the hope trial zone ? Thank you Ali :)

How much does your bike weigh please Ali? Also, please can you explain why this frame uses an external (conventional) headset as opposed to an internal headset which features on many other trials frames?

@insanemxrider1

Not so much a question about the bike but more a question about you. How tall are you? I'm looking to get into trials myself but I'm quite tall (6'3") not sure if they make trials bikes for people that tall. Do the have different sizes for each frame?

I just fitted Maxxis Holyrollers Tires but i find them very soft. Have you ridden them? IF so did it fell the same for you?
@williamelofsson5362
@williamelofsson5362 8 лет назад
+Ali Clarkson they are feeling soft when i do drops. Almost like im getting a pinch flat and hitting the rim but not really. Im already running tubes that are one size to big. Is this good or bad? Im running some thing between 60-80psi in the tires and i dont think i can go any harder. I find them really heavy aswell especially when im doing manuals.
@williamelofsson5362
@williamelofsson5362 8 лет назад
+Ali Clarkson ima just ride and i Will just Worn them down. Have wide rims on. The once that came on. I am not a heavy man. Im pretty fit actually.
@williamelofsson5362

Im going to put some extra air in my tires when i get home again. Thanks for the tips tho. Really interesting to see what you run on your bike.

Sweet bike!! Here's an idea off the top of my head: linking a tire slide to manual to some sort of trials rail gap/ride?? What I mean by tire slide is at 10:31 in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HIRZHC4QOII.html

+Ali Clarkson If he thinks thats bad me and a mate, on his reconmendation, once put a 12in tube designed for a pram/ pushchair in the front of my mod... We were desperate but I got to admit it worked really well. I've found that maxxis ultralight/conti supersonic style tubes dont exist for 24 so I put 2x 26in ultralights in the 4play. Kind of thing you have to do when you ride a wheel size not many people care about.

+Ciaran Cargan yeah. 24s a bloody pain sometimes. don't think I'll go back to 26 anytime soon tho.
