who needs this 5,3 k resolution? does anyone have a screen to use this format? in my opinion that is just for marketing...i cant see any reason to buy the gopro...no oled, smaller sensor, higher price. dji also made an option to generate extra frames in slowmotion videos from 240fps to 900 fps thats fucking awesome !!!
At the end of testing could or will you say which footage looks real..like gopro green leaves or action brighter leaves..say which one looks to how things are in reality.. good video..i will look at back catalogue
Someone's celebrating Christmas early, and what a Christmas it is, imbued with the psychic satisfaction a fleshly scrubbed 11 year old would experience finding a Schwinn Sting Ray, replete with a Banana Seat no less, under The Christmas Tree early morning Christmas Day circa 1964 (a more innocent time)! Congrat's on your new wheels, enjoy and be careful! :)
Ahhh I get it now - you’re putting the weight over whichever pack pedal and that directly in line with the hub and the target landing. Do you have a preference of sides or alternate intentionally?
First review I have seen testing the subject tracking with cycling, a feature I am very interested in. My take was it's didn't add anything much. In fact I think perhaps the tighter view hindered the framing over the non-tracking wide-view. Perhaps might work better in a road cycling scenario, recording a cyclist behind you where the auto panning might come into it's own more. So won't disregard fully, but a bit underwhelmed. Overall I think the Action 5 Pro shone over the GoPro in features, value and footage with out the box colour profiles. But with subject tracking perhaps not such an important feature, I think I will have to see if a deal on an Action 4 comes along or if I decide to splash some cash on the 5.
reminds me of the time i tried to do my first ever sui no hander on a 6 meter long double that sent me up 4 meters realized i was cooked in the air and squashed my spine broke ribs and broke a arm
I wonder if the DJI will talk to the new E-bike? I wish action cams would stop with the yearly releases. Im running a gopro 8 that still works fine. I can't be bothered to spend that much each year.
RIP gopro ..!!! They work only one day in a whole year, with no major improvements in 13 .....being the first company to make action cameras... They are no longer the leader now....
I honestly don’t think it does, there’s definitely things I don’t like but at the same time there’s some features I really love. There are specific instances I would definitely pick the GoPro 13 over the DJI
No 1 inch sensor = Not buying... also lower bitrate...and super night look too oversharpened and cartoonish... so stupid moves for dji...only marketing software things...
My goal is to show how these cameras look for a fast moving sport like MTBing, there’s probably a hundred videos out there showing the image quality for slow stuff 👍🏻
@@tennissir1986 🤷🏻 if people are going to be going fast then knowing what the camera looks like going fast might be useful…I know a couple of years ago I really wanted a video dedicated to pov camera comparisons and I couldn’t find a video that really showed me what The main cameras looked like for MTB stuff so I ended up making my own. One thing I think is super important is FOV, that’s the main reason I didn’t get on with the Insta360 Ace Pro, it was cropped too tight. Then there’s audio, motion blur, stability, colours, how useful square format is etc…image quality is important too obviously but there’s no point showing slow moving footage when I’m only interested in how they look when being used for my intended purpose
@@Ali_Clarkson Well assuming the stabilization is ok (without pixel binning, etc) the images will be the same no matter what you film. Just saying. You don’t have to show the static movies in your videos - but it will help you to see how the quality is.
Great video Ali. Love the detail. I've been lucky enough to have had the OA4, OA5, Hero12 and Hero 13. In defence of GoPro they are doing wonders with that sensor but... The reality is they are still using a smaller, outdated sensor. Im not enjoying the distortion on the Hero cameras, and the big one for me, as a mountain biker, is the lowlight. It's not even close between DJI and the Heros. The other thing that is noticeable in your video is GoPro still have an issue with that really muffled sound. It didn't seem to impact the bike sounds too much, but it is really noticeable when you speak. I saw someone saying they've dropped the bitrate on OA5 at 4K30? Ill be honest, I think the footage looks better compared to OA4 so not sure how they are achieving that. Either way, I can reassure people that the footage quality from the OA5 is really good. Thanks for your time and efforts Ali.
Does DJI have unlimited cloud storage like the go pro subscription? Nothing like coming home from a road cycling ride and letting all my footage offload to the cloud. 😎🤩 Also the United States 🇺🇸 is currently pursuing a DJI ban… 🤯😱
I did a video about the Ace Pro and X4…gotta say I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the Ace Pro (for MTB POV), too tightly cropped in most modes to be usable…but decent for vlogging. I sold mine pretty quickly
DJI reply about bitrate Hello! Thank you for your question. A higher bitrate can significantly reduce the camera's battery life and lead to excessive heating. So lowering the video bitrate. Our algorithms help to mitigate the quality loss that may occur from this adjustment. We also value your feedback But still what quality loss with a 40mp sensor new sensor!
I’d be interested to see a detailed comparison again the GoPro’s image quality. A lower bit rate more efficiently encoded could still potentially look better than a poorly encoded higher bit rate. Some argue that the GoPro bit rate is too high given the image quality you get out of it. To my eye though, it looks like the GoPro may have lost its crown.
