As a new muslim living in the west I find matters like this extremely uncomfortable to see how people are making haram halal. The lifestyle I left behind me I sometimes feel like crying when I see how our deen is becoming, the fear that we go down that slippery slop just as we seen with Christianity now look where they are. May Allah guide each and every one of us and protect us from the finahs and keep us on the right path

InshaAllah Ali-needs-Dawah actually reads the book with an open heart and finally comes to senses instead of ridiculing it like he does whenever brother Saajid gives absolutely based verbal naseehah. I’m glad free mixing is going to be discussed more because a lot of people don’t really understand the rulings pertaining to free mixing. I myself wasn’t really aware of the danger of it since I was raised in the west. Most were taught that dating and zina were haram, but we weren’t aware of the fact that the things that may lead to these prohibitions like friendly chatting with the opposite gender for no beneficial reason is also haram even if you don’t desire to do evil like zina with that person. Growing up in the west it’s normalized to have friendly chats with people especially those from the opposite gender at school or work, but a lot of us aren’t aware that this is wrong even if you’re just trying to be nice and friendly.

I am glad this 'Free mixing' topic is being discussed. This topic is soo important for this generation. We have normalised free mixing soo much many muslims don't even know It's a sin. I myself was born in a muslim family also in a muslim major country. And even i didn’t know that having boyfriend or even being friends with males is haram I later found out about it in a islamic book written by an author of our country this book was solely targeted towards the youth regarding the common sins among youth. So many young people will be guided by this conversation.

I used to think previously that Saajid was exaggerating cause i rarely listened to Ali. But I just clicked on Ali's channel and was met with an in-video explicit ad for sex performance drug for males and females. I mean c'mon... Ali needs to check himself. It's not personal -- as even i used to think before. Swallow the pride and own up to the wrong. But I would prefer to see less videos about him and more about actual beneficial content though please. Most of your recent videos are about this subject.

I watch Ali Dawah's videos often, but I always felt like something was wrong about the Bitter show deep down inside, so I only watched the first one and never after that. Old voice-only online discussions were great when it came to hearing out the sister's perspective on issues pertaining to them, but once the mixing started, it just never felt right.

Mash' Allah, well said brothers. I stopped watching Ali Dawah show because it made me feel so angry and uncomfortable. They would only undermine the sisters and make them look ridiculous. I believe that's the main objective of the show. To wipe-out feminism and put Muslim women in their place.

This is something that is self evident. No one will feel comfortable in such a free mixed environment discussing such topics. They wonder why they are having all the problems they discuss on the show yet they don’t realize they’re part of the problem with their behavior. The commands of Allah azzawa jal and his messenger sallaahu alayhi wa salam are clearer than glass yet some Muslims choose to feign ignorance when even their own fitrah is telling them otherwise.

6 ways to earn deeds after death: 1) Give a copy of the Qur'an to someone. Each time one reads from it you gain. 2) Donate a wheelchair to a hospital. Each time a sick person uses it you gain. 3) Participate in building a masjid. 4) Place a watercooler in a public space. 5) Plant a tree. You gain whenever a person or an animal sits in it's shade or eat from it. 6) And the easiest of all, share this message with people.

Not only that, let's not forget the online virtual podcasts between non-mahram men and women under the guise of talks on "Islamic Journey" and what not. Unnecessary "Islamic" talks like this have somewhat become a justification for non-mahram brothers and sisters to free-mix (intermingle) with no lowering of gazes or haya at all.

Something that’s so interesting is that when I first started to take my deen seriously I was super over zealous and would enjoy this type drama. Sometimes I would tell my dad about it and he would always tell me that this brings no benefit to the person, and that my time would be well spent gaining real knowledge from the Quran, Sunnah, and the scholars of the past. So InshAllah I hope that the internet dawah culture can move from this negativity and start to teach the people knowledge that will truly benefit them and make the ummah better and stronger

I use to follow Ali Dawah, first time I saw the bitter truth show I unsubscribed his channel immediately as I knew something like this can’t be halal. Not just the bitter truth show but also the docuseries about his past is also not something that can be halal. May Allah protect us from free mixing.

I am glad brother Muhammed brought up the front line topic . The real people on the front line are those who are seeking knowledge and teaching it.

It boils my blood that someone can talk about brothers who have studied in Madinah in such a filthy way while they have not themselves went, then say that those brothers are the "uneducated" ones and "backstabbers". I literally don‘t leave my room if male visitors that are not my mahram come over at our home😅women eat in one room. Men eat in another room. Not in the same room on different tables!!!! Assalamu alaikom saajid. Im very sad. Every time i enjoy listening to someone someone comes out and says this person is deviant. And some people i did stop listening too and i am glad i did that. But now someone is getting cancelled again abu taymiyyah. And i enjoy listening to him i have learned alot but now people are coming out against him and im just so confused. Could you please explain where the normal folk should get their knowledge because everytime i find someone i enjoy listening to someone has to come out and say he is deviant. I dont have the brains to study go to university etcetc. But i do take my deen very seriously its the akhirah i want to do the right things. So please help us laymen who are constantly standing by the side line and being confused about who to follow who to listen to.

Look at Brother Saajids face.... He's like "tell them brother, please tell them".

Doing dawah stalls and speakers corner isn't front lines, especially speakers corner which pollute you with bad etiquettes and manners. And for Ali to call Sajid a backstabber, it would require ali to bring evidence that there was a mutual understanding or agreement that if Ali ever made a mistake then Sajid would advise him privately. If Ali can't provide such evidence then better for him is to be silent and not fall into qawl al-zuur. Other than this, Ali doesn't possess a special priveledge that his public mistakes must only be addressed privately, This isn't some ikhwani fraternity. If you err then you will be corrected, take the haqq from the advise and leave the rest. But if you want call people backstabber then you might be from those whom Allah said 'and when he is told to fear Allah, he is arrogant in sin'.

I'll give you guys a bit of naseeha. One thing people who speak out against zina always do is jumping onto the most extreme consequence of bastard children. The thing that they miss is the fact that romantic relationships stay with you mentally. If you did zina with multiple partners and then settled down. The person you settled down with will always be judged to the standard of previous people. There will always be other people in your mind when doing things with your spouse (the most important being romantic and affectionate things) and a precedent set which shouldn't be. Mentally whether you literally think of the person there are already multiple people in your relationship when you have these elicit relationships or friendships. I already suffer from a little bit of this after meeting some women for matrimony purposes: in a halal way with mahram before people knee jerk 🙄. They didn't work out but the disappointment of that is still in my mind every day and I always work hard to try and approach each discussion with a fresh mindset. With zina this would be infinitely more pronounced

The scholars used to welcome critics, because they would show them their faults, and when this happened they would have a chance to elevate and become better, they used to thank thier enimies/critics for their insight, mistakes would humble them... the difference between them and people now. Free mixing has been trivialized , normalized, it's not a big deal for most muslims yet it is a HUGE thing in the deen of Islam! His show is very cringe and I pray Allah guides him and his associates

To be fair to brother Ali I don't think the issue is if he thinks that free mixing is halal, but more on what he understood what free mixing is. I believe he spoken against free mixing. But if you guys could clarify what free mixing is and what are it's boundaries and when is it an exception. Probably before that, also try to see what brother Ali's understanding is of free mixing and build from there. May Allaah make it easy and protect us all from fitnah.

Didn’t Ali bring a fatwa showing when and what is considered free mixing and that his show isn’t considered free fixing because of the topics they discuss that benefit the Muslims in the West? Are the people are there dress in full Halal manner, ya? And they flirting, no! Did Muslim women no go out into the market place to buy food, or sell etc during the prophet (saw) times? They did, there was a valid reason. If he does say it’s not free mixing then why don’t you bring a fatwah from a prominent sheikh trusted by all the Muslim community that says this situation is completely haram?

Firstly: It is permissible for a woman to take part in public chat rooms, if she adheres to the following guidelines: She should only participate as much as is necessary, so she should pose a question or state the topic, then leave, and not comment unless there is a need for that, because the basic principle is that she should avoid speaking to men or mixing with them. There should be nothing in her words that could provoke fitnah (temptation), such as joking, speaking softly, or laughing, such as writing “hahahahahaha”, as mentioned in the question, or using smiley emojis, because that could lead to coveting on the part of those in whose hearts is disease, as Allah, may He be glorified, says (interpretation of the meaning): “O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women. If you fear Allah, then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech” [al-Ahzaab 33:32]. She should avoid giving out her email address or corresponding via private messages with any man, even if that is for the purpose of seeking help, because of what such correspondence often leads to of attachment and temptation. See the answers to question no. 34841 . It is preferable and better for a woman to participate only in all-female chat rooms. This is safer for her. There are many such chat rooms, and that is better and sufficient. But if she needs to participate in public chat rooms, then it is better for her to choose a screen name that does not indicate that she is female. And Allah knows best.
