I will admit even today, that when I want to listen to a soothing singing voice I go right back to her first performance on BGT. She knocked it out of the park that day.
u know u hit the spot with the fragile thing.. as a older guy i just want to hug her .. one of those moments. if that performance would have happened in the 70’s b for vids u would b unbelievabley lucky 2have seen it!
She is a peach--- We just absolutely love her. I just want to take her home and fill her with love and confidence. Her humility is part of her gift. She sings from a beautifully deep place in her heart. I just love her!
She is all woman.. vivacious, sensual, mysterious, beautiful, lovable, adorable... i could listen to her sooothing voice for ever - all day all night..
It's a shame that the Voice UK can't hear how good Alice is. It broke my heart when the judges didn't turn their chairs on UK The Voice. I am so happy that Brittain Got Talent judges love her!!!! I would like to see Alice on AGT. I definitely will vote for her.
@@wandaeaton369 Alice used Kickstarter to produce her debut album, entitled 'Under the Covers'. It's disheartening to say, but she stopped singing after her album was released in late 2016.
@@wandaeaton369 I have never seen a public posting either from Alice or from any media source which explains why Alice stopped. Alice just seemed to vanish, as evidenced by the closure of her website mid 2017, and no comments on her FB page since late 2017. facebook.com/AliceFredenhamMusic
A lot of the time singers and performers have social anxiety because they fear what others will think of them. She has a wonderful voice but you could tell that the Voice really knocked her confidence which explains her nervousness in her audition and forgetting her words in the next performance
Hope she is living her best life some place. Guessing the attention she was getting became overwhelming for this sweet girl. Glad she put out one album for us to remember her by.
I am a 70yr.. old woman and I just love Female jazz vocalist like Sarah Vaughan Dinah Washington and many more etc. I must say she made my heart melt and I was reminiscing for months . Her Voice is like liquid Gold. Just like a Goddess for sure. I too feel in love with Alice.
I've heard versions of My Funny Valentine, but Miss Fredenham is unique. It carries your feeling and emotion to another dimension and that only few singers do. Every time I hear sing for the first time on Britains Got Talent, I feel that I was privileged to see and hear something special. The best for you…Alice. Henry Lozada, from Puerto Rico
Shurlly we won't let Alice's voice go to waste ... This Simon doesn't have the authority for his conviction,, If he did he would her through to a recording... Guy
Alice's My funny valentine performance on BGT made me curious to listen to other singers of that song. By far, Alice' is the best. Hers is flawless, soothing, you can listen to it for hours on end.
When I watched Alice in Britain's got talent, I confess I got goosebumps. Her great performance was beyond my wildest expectations. I fell in love with her at once. My wholehearted admiration from Guayaquil, Ecuador, South America, and best of luck in the future.
The man that wins her heart is the luckiest human on earth, she is so amazing in every way! I sincerely hope Alice has a life and career filled with unending happiness and success she does so deserve it! God bless you Alice Fredenham!
after being knocked back on The Voice who wouldn't be a little nervous well done you are awesome Alice keep singing old school sick of all the screamers out there love your soulful voice and you have the look
WHEN I FIRST HEARD HER SING I FELL IN LOVE WITH HER, HAVE TRIED TO BUY HER CD IN AUSTRALIA NO LUCK. WATCH HER ON RU-vid ALL THE TIME. WOW. JUST CANT GET ENOUGH OF HER.
Such an amazingly talented and beautiful young woman! I not only love the way she sings, but the way she moves around during her performance. It makes me feel like I’m being magically transported to a 1930’s night club, and watching one of their star performers sing on stage. It’s simply delightful!
If it IS an act, it is a good one. Meaning, I can't imagine failing on The Voice, and NOT having that shake your confidence the next time around. What is hard to understand is people jumping to a conclusion that she is fake. Why do that, who cares anyway? She either has talent and you enjoy her, or you don't. The rest of it, speculating if she is sincere or not, again, who cares, not to mention I see 0.00 evidence she faked anything. Now to the woman, love the way she comes across the way she uses her hands when she sings, or just sits there, so sweet in her ways. When Simon said that he voice was Gold, and then that she looked great, she started to cry and it just "worked" for me. Sweet little gal, good singer, and great performer as far as I am concerned.
I understand what you're saying about either you enjoy her or you don't but I AM uncomfortable with feeling conned if someone puts on an act to gain favour in a talent show. If you watch this woman on the voice and here on LIVE television, she is super-confident. I mean, not just confident but totally cool and LIVE tv is nerve-wracking! Remember - before the BGT audition she has already done loads of gigs in London pubs and - trust me - you don't survive those crowds if you're as shy as she acts on BGT. It just doesn't add up unless she's borderline schizophrenic! Watch the Voice audition and see if she looks traumatised by it... no. Look at her other videos including on-the-spot interviews and see how she comes across. Sadly, when I watch her super-shy, little girl 'oh-my'god- I'm-on-stage-and-so-scared' routine on BGT, it looks SO overacted and calculated that it ruins her performance for me. With respect to your view, I worry that it's clever (but wrong) to ACT shy because it sets expectations low and then you make a bigger impact. So regardless of her singing talent, I'm sorry but I do doubt her sincerity and I won't buy tracks from someone who stoops to that for a talent show. And - from a feminist point of view - just think how she set back the idea of a confident woman and won favour instead by pandering to the controlling male notion of the vulnerable female.
Well, you supported what you had to say, I appreciate that. I do see what you are saying, but going on national TV--the Voice, and having no one turn around. Would anyone, with any level of confidence not "take a hit" and wonder "gee, I thought I was good--maybe I'm not?" I mean, that does seem a viable explanation to me and then to be told they loved you--and it moves you, I don't know, seems reasonable to me. That said, it is true: I cut "sweet little things" more slack than I might for a man, you know "Daddy's girl and Momma's boy", there is something to that and I admit it. Maybe she has this old boy fooled, it does happen
Jmichael Isbell First of all, thanks for an articulate, considered reply! Y'see even on RU-vid it is possible! And credit to you for making me laugh with your frank admission. (Yeah, maybe I'd have cut her more slack too if she was more my type!). One last point for consideration - under stress, we either lock down all our body language like a statue or exaggerate EXISTING body language. Those arm-holding, hand-clasping, head tip to shoulder gestures in the BGT clip never show up anywhere else in any other footage (even in 'mini-form'), which is what makes me think they're adopted gestures - acting, in other words. If that sounds a bit technical, it's because I teach Behavioural Psychology - which of course doesn't stop me from being wrong or being totally fooled... especially by blondes! Cheers.
Years ago, my wife insisted that I, for once, say something to our daughter, who was being naughty, I summoned my courage, she came in and I really told her this and that, trying to be firm, she in turn said "sowy Daddy, I sowy", and I melted. Looked at my wife who was fuming, "Oh yeah, Dad got tough this time". I do hear you, maybe I got it wrong with her, my first thought really, was people were just "being mean to that sweet little girl" but maybe. I still say though, it seems normal to me, that someone who has confidence to get that confidence shaken via national TV rejection, not at all surprising. But I'll say this, if following that rejection, she was able to sum up the courage to "fake it" and use that rejection to garner sympathy, then boy "she is gooooood" Thanks for the kind note, same to you Dear.
This young lady is fantastic, such class, humble too. Her voice is liquid Gold as Simon Cowell said..Old Hollywood Glamour at its best.A rare gem in today's fake plastic world xxxxxxxx
There's so much shrieking voice in today's songs....they're irritating to the ears. I still love the old real melodic tunes of Frank Sinatra, Jo Staffford and now Alice. They're beautiful music.
+Shelly Parrit Because she has not done anything controversial. Most people do not want people who have musical talent, they want people who do vulgar things in front of a camera or something else that is not talented.
+Shelly Parrot Because she just replicates other people's songs. She does have a wonderful voice, but, she imitates other people PERFECTLY rather than bringing in anything new, of her own.
Simon inSweden She sang "My Funny Valentine" her own way which was the best way I heard so far. It was so nice and down right relieving to hear a vocalist get away from the out of control warbling that too many vocalists do nowadays. Almost all these vocalists warble like coyotes with their jewels caught in a bear trap. I'm not kidding lol. I can't even stand to listen to these people sing. Alice was such a relief.
I do agree with you that she is very good. I do not think she is original and do not think she is genuine. I am not suggesting she is not talented. I am just suggesting why I don't think we are hearing more of her anywhere + I'm responding to the original comment.
Every time I watch her bgt audition, I am taken to a lounge. I'm smoking a cigarette, drinking a cocktail, and watching this girl in a gorgeous black dress sing this song. I love people that have the power to do that with just their voice.
Her Voice is so beautiful, it is a breath of fresh air to hear a voice that is so pure, and does not have to hide behind background noise, drums, guitars, etc.... A very seductive and sultry voice, and I must agree with the judges, it draws you into the song. I hope she goes on and continues with the hits of the past, and jazzzzzzz. I think that not being picked up by the Voice was a God Send for her, because the two performances were like night and day..I will be buying any singles or albums she puts out.
Please look out for her on Facebook. Alice is in the process of bringing out her first cd . Alot of people have backed her promotion for this cd, including myself.
We need singers like her!!! please can just some one give her a record cx she is AMAZING AF!!!!!I AM IN LOVE WITH HER ALREADY PLEASSSSSEEEE SHE DESERVES IT SOOOOO MUCH
she backed out and if you take the time to listen to what they made her sing on her album you'll understand her! She left us just this Valentine jewel, forever longing for her! Mesmerizing performance!
Alice, the vocal gods have spoken with a resounding 1000 chair turn. The voice got it all wrong.Funny valentine gives me the chills everytime i view it.Superb arrangement delivered majestically.
My girl gets jealous of me listening to her tracks over and over. "So, you're really digging this chic huh?" Just leave me alone when Alice is on. You're the one im dedicated too. lol
listening to her gets us into the sensual mood for the one we are together with! Her voice and this song invites us to a sultry dance which will lead us.......
That girl knocked that song out of the park I have never heard it as good as all these years as she can sing it. And that is a hard song to get across the people and she's got it
Singing alone onstage is one of the most vulnerable things a person can do and i think it's sad that she has backed away, but I understand. I've been singing for 50 years and it can be very tough.
She's a fake, her acting skills are great cause she knew if she acted like she's shy and not confident that it would make her look and sound so much better when she did sing, and it worked. Everyone fell for it. If you watch her Voice audition which was BEFORE her Britians got talent audition, shes not shy at all she's exact opposite. It was all an act to look cute, its not cute when your acting. She annoys me now!!
***** I've seen people go from not making it on the voice to the Xfactor or American Idol and they don't act terrified, rubbing their arm like they're nervous with their head hanging low as if they've never sung in front of people before. She knew if she played the shy act and told people she doesn't think she's a good singer then she would look humble. And people would be like wow she really can sing. I mean look how she dressed in her BGT audition, she doesn't dress like that in real life. She dressed down, looked all shy so people would be blown away when she got all dressed up looking good with a great voice. It worked, everybody fell for it. I saw right through it and I'm not the only one. Lots of people are calling her a fake!!
1985norah That's really nice that you like her voice because It's the one of the only things that's sincere about her. I don't want to sound like I hate her, I'm just getting tired of the singing shows where the person who is the "underdog" or plays the poor me role seems to go farther just from sympathy votes. She played that role after she didn't make it on the voice cause she came out confident. But I guess its good for her cause it worked. I'm just not dumb enough to fall for that bullshit.
Just recently released from her contract @ Sony Music. The shot callers at Sony, decided NOT to pick up the option on her debut C.D. She seems dressed down in this interveiw,,her 2 times on others talent shows, she was not only dressed to the 9s,she played it to the 9s. That as it may be,her talent, great looks and ability to mesmerize an audiance could and should equal stardom.Shes the sultry GODDESS,that sings like a sultry goddess should.Outstandingly!!!
When Alice came onto the stage on BGT little did anyone know what she was about to do to Simon Cowell, the audience and the viewers at home. As Alice got into her song you could hear a pin drop as everyone was captivated by her sultry sensuous voice. Whether she was 'faking' the little girl lost routine or not, her voice and her looks captivated me like everyone else who witnessed her audition. You can't fake that! She is a young star in the making and with the right mentor I hope to be hearing her voice again in the near future. Congratulations Alice!
I was AMAZED that nobody made so much as a cough while she was singing. They didn't want to miss a note of her incredible voice and I felt the same way. Not even Jackie Evancho commanded that kind of respect her first audition.
I'm not sure what's motivating certain individuals to tout this "pity party" thing. (Apparently we have a bunch of armchair experts on the ins and outs of public performance.) BGT and other shows have proven too many times that sob stories don't win these competitions. (Alice didn't win, either, so all of this is a moot point.) What should be remembered is that Alice mesmerized everyone in that audience with the quality of her voice and her performance. Every note and every movement she made was a celebration of timeless jazz and feminine sensuality. As far as I'm concerned, her slowed-down rendition of "Funny Valentine" tops Fitzgerald, Holiday Sinatra, Krall, Buble, and any other I've forgotten to mention. And apparently some can't handle that and have to make cheap shots about her personality and her body. Grow up, people.
She is just a really cool woman. Very unique, and she not only doesnt realize what a great singer she is, she doesnt really know what a beautiful person she is, in every meaning of the word!!!
Ha una voce meravigliosa anche quando parla. Leggermente graffiata e sabbiata, calda fino all'inverosimile, una perla rara! Una voce che ammalia! Così sono i talenti!
I came across her audition video by accident. Glad I did though! When she speaks or sings, you can't help but listen. she sounds so soulful, sexy, sultry, & mesmerizing. would live to see her in person. she is a star.
She has so much charisma and beauty and a voice that is amazing ... 3 out of 4 things ...Wish she would come back to music and find some songs to dazzle us with. Everyone loves the under dog .. cheers Alice , hope u are happy and well. Alberta Dave
I'm totally smitten... wow, wish I could cuddle up with a cup of hot tea, by the fire, and listen to her sing the night away. Such a pure beautiful lady. Much love!
...absolutely breathtakingly delightful and uniquely talented beyond any description - truly inspirational and Heartwarming with childlike innocense - she stands out clearly by herself in a world where true gems are so so rare, hard to find...these days. Complimént !
@@victorholmes2523 Every guy dreams of a wife like that. Lol. I've been divorced once and working on my second...lol. I would love to wake up to a woman like her but wouldn't wish myself on her. Lmao She's absolutely stunning though.
Alice is incredible. totally unique as Simon said "liquid platinum." but Carly rose Sonenclar never forgot a lyric, never missed her pitch, was never flat or sharp, truly a world class talent.
I performed many years without experiencing much stage fright. But it would sneak up on me occasionally, and I'd dang near barf! It actually does make it harder to perform, if only because you can get too preoccupied and forget to concentrate. Somehow, the audience picks up on it every time, and they kind of rally you into stepping up. When I get stage fright, I basically have to put up with it, and soldier on. What the hell else are you going to do? She did exactly that, and I think she is smashing. When will we all get to see her on tour? She has a rare and gifted voice, and she also has tons of charisma! She will learn to deal with nerves and shyness all in good time. Many other Greats have been down the same road, and here she comes, literally burning up the pavement!! Not to mention that she has a style of delivery for the ages!! She has made me want to abandon every other style of music and follow her lead into the future of popular music. Bravo!!
Reminds of the early interview with The Beatles. They were young, fresh innocent, charming and very talented. And became sensations. I wish the same thing for Alice.Such a sweet 💕💖😍😋😘
