I don't think Usagi was saying she'd rather be in this world than her real world it's the answer on being asked "Would you wanna return to your original world?" She's not choosing either of these worlds. Wherever she ends up living she just want to fight and survive until her death. Choosing is not her will. She's not playing so that she can go back, she is making that clear.

I personally did not enjoy this episode at all, it was just extremely clear how much plot armor the characters had. The random shooting at the start was shocking at first but when I see people next to the mains getting obliterated it just makes me sit back with a bored feeling knowing they’re gonna survive anyway. So funny when shuntaro says not to hide behind cars after the first shot and that’s the first thing he does

Chishiya said there's no use to hide in the car because the King of Space using anti-tank rifle in the beginning, but then the King of Space switches to automatic rifle.

As a reader of the manga, you are lucky to have "started fast and finished slow" because in the manga it takes five chapters in this game alone. The series is a good adaptation but not as faithful as I would have liked, which makes me sad and gives away some important things that could have been part of the show.
