I suppose he could very well do that but then, there would be no chance of the heroes defeating him after that. The story needs to have a happy ending somehow.
I think he the torture first, kill, bring'em back to life, and then make them fall in love method lol. At this point he was so powerful, he could have made her do WHATEVER he wanted her to do. Whether or not she was willing. I'll bet some one has powerful as that would have a hard time deciding what to do with an ant that has spoiled their picnic.
