Yeah, my guitar player pointed that out to me. We're learning it for our set in the new cover band I just started up. Fortunately I'm blessed with a lead singer who does Alice's vocals justice. :)
You’re hearing the direct and octave-down from the guitar. Both are in the mix. You could do it the other way and play it on bass with an octave up. You almost have to do it on one instrument because trying to lock a separate guitar and bass together that tightly would be really hard.

As a HUGE FAN of song, depth of lyrics & talent this song is 10 + stars. Whether you have No Roots, a tad, or a full blown family back up system..... STUFF HAPPENS.
