This may sound crazy and I know she's not an actress and i'm not taking not a thing from Mrs. Angela Basset, but I can only imagine how this lady would play the role as Tina Turner. I hope someone asks her to play a role of one of those divas from the 70s. I would be so glued to the screen!
Eartha Kitt, I don't know because Alice is such a phenomenal, unique singer. I would want to see her in that character. I think she would bring so much charisma and energy to that type of character. Maybe one of those unsung singers.

She evokes everyone who was ever uniquely good at anything like anything she does. She could play any or all of them. TT, EK, Billie Holiday, Memphis Minnie, Abbey Lincoln, Maria Callas . . . anyone who was ever good enough . . .

Love her, saw her 1st on BET show, didn't know who she was, but had a green dress on that killed and this song was insane. Searched her and followed ever since. SUPER GIRL!!!!!!
I know when I hear something thats really really good.....Alice Smith is AWEsome.....!!! Can't wait to see her perform live....hope she comes to LA soon :-)
