Monday’s child is ever smiling Tuesday’s child will play in sun Wednesday comes with a gun Thursday tears have just begun Friday ships are filled with crying . Monday seems so far away now Tuesday was not bad at all Wednesday came with a flame Thursday never be the same Friday ships are not returning . Monday’s child is torn asunder Tuesday’s child is thrown in chains Wednesday’s child used to smile Thursday’s tears are now a nile Friday’s child is ever burning
Haunting song.....Lord what our ancestors went through!!! The scene was captivating because the song was sooooo deep (I think some may have even missed it's meaning)...but yaaasss, the blue woman dancing and luring Mary towards Rufus....This scene was filled with parallels. Just awesome!!!
@@edoardpalushaj3400 who cares about honour when it's life or death, he did cheat the count but wouldn't you have done the same? I would 😂 haha he probably knew jim was faster anyhow

It is I kept looking for the background of the song, but that's the main thing I could put with the lyrics. Great song very deep could easily be a poem you could perform at an open mic or power poetry (spoken word) event.
Song hits like a hammer! Give me the same feeling as Jimi Hendrix’ Little Wings - like waking up from a mesmerising dream wondering why it is too short but then realise that’s exactly what it must be!
Beautiful song...beautiful vocals ..beautiful music..so amazing..I really .adore this Wednesday's Child song which is part of the soundtrack for the movie The Harder they Fall with Alice Smith. produced by Jay-Z
I can’t stop listing to this song it’s so beautiful and strong yet complex it evokes strong emotion within me. The blue dancer puts the icing on the cake I’ve never seen anyone move like that it was amazing
Alice Smith is so underrated..I first seen her on bet..sing fool for you by ceelo..I've been following her music ever since..my favorite song by her is she.
These lyrics really seem to evoke the experience of young black Americans being robbed of their African heritage and learning to endure the trials and tribulations imposed upon them. Given the time period of the movie is seems appropriate.
I absolutely love this song my favorite on the soundtrack, I can see this as a connection to growing up in poverty, might not be but it gives me that feel
