Yeah, Rhaenyra handled it by damning her children and the realm by having the most obvious bastards of all time with no discretion and marrying the most hated guy in Westeros, because she was the freest woman in the country. Alicent did her duty and got nothing for it. They were absolutely not in the same situation.

I think it’s more Rhaenyra had a choice and Alicent didn’t. Or at least she felt that way. Alicent had nothing else going for her (cause it’s the medieval period yk) her entire life purpose was literally to ouch out kids for any lord (or king in her case) she was married too. Rhaenyra technically still needed to have kids. But she was also to be queen, and is a dragon rider. Two things that add a hell of a lot of value to her. And I think Alicent knew this more than Rhae did so it led to a lot of resentment which ultimately helped Otto manipulate her and thus take even more control away
@@spacesight6453Rhaenyra was backstabbed by her best friend when she chose to go to the her father's chamber at night after her best friend's mother had died. Then Rhaenyra lost 2 of her children (so far) because of Alicent and her family. She has every right to be angry.
Daemon quite literally murdered his wife, groomed his niece, responsible for ruining her reputation too, and didn't do anything to protect his daughters when they were attacked, he just smirks and stands around, and choked his wife. Homelander will never care for his children and constantly fight to survive
