@@Sheraytv You missed out on the late 80's and 90's. It was so amazing. RnB and life was A+. We got to enjoy the moments, the music. Everything was epic...Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Whitney, Mariah, Aaliyah, TLC, En Vogue, Boyz II Men, Mike Tyson, Wayne Gretzky, Pete Sanford, Bo Jackson, etc it was like God said "insert the most talented within these decades " Oh and Record stores. Great place to meet someone. Easy , fluid conversation
Never again put T-Boz someone who could barely in the same sentence with Tina Turner especially when it comes to voices. That's just egregious! Tina Turner is in a league way, way, way, way, way, way, infinitely above T-Boz to be mentioned even in the same discussion as Tina. NEVER! NEVER! NEVER AGAIN!
All 4 Original members of En Vogue was the highlight performance for me. They really laid the blueprint for female groups in the 90s to follow. Still by far my all-time favorite performance from BET Awards.
Late at night BET would have real life bands. I would stay up because I was a kid learning electric guitar and real musicians were on BET, VH1 and MTV. It was great. And I miss slow jamz.
Justin Graham It's the BET awards...the sign is behind D.L. Hughley when in introduces Alicia and also at the end Alicia says "We love you BET". This was 10 years ago...before it started to decline
Yesssss!!! But it has to be the originals. Nothing against the new line up. But it’s something about Dawn, Maxine, Cindy, and Terri that just hits different.
The DIVAS!! En Vogue came in and showed why they are legendary queens!! The walk, the vocals, the presence.... Just everything about their performance was amazing.....
@@geester spilling *her* tea. She's exceptionally talented, but Lord that girl can't stay even in groups she founds (like the ones she tried to start with Max, twice) or joins. Nuff said.
I know we love giving TLC so much props, but let's not overlook that EN VOGUE opened it up for the R&B girl groups of the 90s, setting it off (and they were PURE R&B-soul)
@@dannysimion En Vogue debut with Hold On (single) and Born To Sing (album) in 1990. SWV came two years later with Right Here (single) and It's About Time (album) in 1992.
Lashid4u tlc was the biggest next to the spice girls that's why honestly and left eye is there anymore so they always get that recognition. I screamedddd when this came on because I am a TLC fan all day
SWV..my fav female group, crowd went wild when they came out. Envogue are always dope(original) and TLC❤ Definitely the very best 3 female groups of the 90s
@@amritsamra8341 DC came out in the latter part of the 90s. Debut in 98 and sophomore in 99. They are the number 1 girl group of their era for sure from the late 90s to the 2000s
I know why Alicia Keys yelled out Whoo when En Vogue walked across the platform; she caught a draft from the way they popped up from behind them steps. En Vogue is the reason why i replay this video 8 years later.
Chile, I'm watching this in 2018 May and lawd, These women have aged soooo well!!! Envouge and Salt n Peppa just brought the house down in the 2018 Billboards!
it really hits you when TLC walks out like damn lisa really gone ,😭😭 I know they felt her spirit in that room cause I feel it just watching through my phone
3:52 I'm sure you may teach fill-in members to do the choreography but that walk the original En Vogue does ICONIC! nobody does it like the original 4!
These were the top 3 best selling girl groups of the 90’s. (TLC-1st, SWV-2nd, EnVogue-3rd). They all made a big impact in this music industry and we will always love and appreciate them! 💕
Mad respect to all artists on stage, specifically Alicia Keys to honoring those great groups. But I must say, En Vogue was the most talented female group. All four vocalists with unique and amazing voices. Too bad they couldn't stay together for longer.
