Superb made shorts in you're an Alien fan, fantastic sets & filming, with great acting. Each of these stories could go off in so many directions, with continuing story lines. Very well worth watching & hopefully more to come. Thanks.
Ore and Alone are my two favorites with Harvest and Specimen being next!!! Love Love Love!!! Need more Alien from these directors and actors. Best character though is MAGGIE hands down!
The agility and movement exhibited by the Xeno in Ore is the best I've seen in any film including the major motion pictures. To me, a good Xeno behaves and moves in a combination of cat, spider, monkey, and velociraptor-like movements, with the same agility, and killer instincts. Xeno's culture though is more of an ant colony or bee hive. #Protect the Queen Mother!
It depends. The dog one in Alien 3 was pretty cool. Since they take on some of the physical traits of their hosts, I think a Komodo Dragon alien would look awesome. But yes, all these vignettes are pretty cool and very well done for not being feature length. They manage to pack a lot of action in just a few moments. And they have all the homages to the original, which is
They did that on purpose. To ensure the alien got its harvest. Not gonna go running around w/o that motion tracker so ofc they followed the android around.
The company knows and has known even before events of original film. They sent Ripley and her crew to LV-426. Bio weapons division has always known about the creature.
😒 Not for 40 years, it is a celebeation of about 40 years since The First Movie Release. The Fan made stuff is new and only about a view years old 🤦🏼♂️😊
Excellent job creators!! Im so excited to see Alien Romulus August 16th. Maybe one day there will be an Alien Isolation 2 game. That game gets it right in every way.
Okay, wasn't expecting the Doberman. I love the actress from the Vikings in the first one. Nice homage to one of Ridley's favourites: the hanging clanky chains (in the Ore segment). The Ore segment actually reminds me a little of Dead Space. And stop giving guns to morons. Especially guns that look like Rick Deckard's. And it's funny how the "Company" keeps sending people right into the Devil's Den, so to speak. It's hard to believe so many people wouldn't have heard of these alien monsters lurking around and creating sheer havoc. Well done stitching these together, that made the segments flow much better. Thank you for posting! Cheers, from Toronto
It's great, I hope they make a proper Alien 5 because I don't like the Prometheus saga. On the other hand, it has some flaws. For example, In Containment the black woman says that the xenomorphs may be able to affect memory. I think this statement is impossible to do in this tecnhologic and futuristic world. Passing out has nothing to do with memory. Passing out occurs when the facehugger makes people loose air and the facehugger introduces the egg. The victim "sleeps" for a while, that's all, no memory affected.
You’re precisely wrong. In Ridley Scott’s Alien (‘79) it’s made very clear that, the infected/impregnated host doesn’t remember (have memory of) anything during the “gestation period” really beyond having had a vague “dream about suffocating”. This was stated explicitly by Kane who was, after all, the only “face hugger” victim that spoke about the ordeal post incident. Thus… if this is your only beef…?
These are awesome. I remember watching them when they came out, and thinking now this is how you bring the franchise to the small screen and makes up for the last movies that came out.
Jesus, just the set designs is incredible! Like those top tier cosplayers who spend years on their amazing outfits. This was a nice pallet cleanser after the total sh*tshow that was the last 4 alien movies. Fingers crossed Romulus knocks it out of the park and kicks off a new era for my favorite franchise. Cheers to all who worked on these shorts! You should be proud, these are awesome.
Good teeth on those there xenomorphs. Chest-bursting agreeably grisly, specially in 1st one... "Android goes mad from loneliness (or degraded parts; same thing, right?) & adopts face-hugger" is an awesome idea... really could've done without the (ahem!) 'yoghurt tear-drop' scene though! I mean, wtf?!! Gross!... On the whole, that was cool so thanks very much. OK bye! (Need an upgrade on my flame-thrower...)
@@zachamus I doubt it's gonna be any good; based on the overall ratings of the last few Alien films... They REALLY need to get James Cameron back to helm these kinds of movies!
Oh really? explain.. because basically, these are just a few scenes of aliens either bursting from peoples chests, panic, and/or their ships being compromised. What are you talking about, "Straight to the point." You casuals..
@@OtomoTenzi Complete different director for Romulus, and i'm sure it's going to be great. But really, you think ALIENS was the best film of the franchise? Maybe as an old-school action/scifi film, yeah. But the last 2 Ridley Scott Alien movies were in my opinion, as a lifelong Alien fan, were the best, in terms of giving us the lore, and the creation. I mean, if you're a deep thinker, Prometheus is a very top-notch movie.
All these comments saying “no way it’s better then original or better then first two” tells me that many of you would never admit it even if you do agree! Obviously it could never be as iconic in terms of what the original did but guys think about it the director is a true fan so he has the benefit of the inspiration from past films plus the game Isolation……combined with being an extremely talented horror director it’s very possible that Romulus (overall) is the best one yet lol! Nothing can change how beloved a film is to fans….but as iconic as Alien & Aliens is….it’s not impossible to be dethroned! I hope it does end up being the best it’s about time we get a proper modern Alien! I know Hollywood usually misses when it comes to iconic franchises but I guess we lucked in for once with a director who actually gave a damn!
You know Despite the prequels And all these shorts The predator crossovers They still haven't explained what exactly the origin of the xenomorphs is Are they a species evolved from another planet Are they creations of the eagerners or Predators Or where they a mixture of both Also How did all these planets and ships get invaded by the xenomorphs when waland utanny where the only people who knew of the species existence As well as a few people in between
@Wattz-DTD then how do you explain the fact that David foud Fossilised overnorphs Or in the original alien The space jockey was over 10 thousand years old I believe that when David found out about the xenomorph specise He wanted to create an improved version Fo he created the protomorph A subspecies of xenomorph
Bg coba cari film alien yg dulu tayang di TVRI bg tu gak salah yg gambar sampul y . Bumi yg di di pegang sama tangan alien jari tiga . Kalau gak salah . Coba siyapa tau dapat bg . Makkasih bg
It is a good film but they have to stop filming the action scene like we are running with the camera……I don t want to puke……fortunately we have the option to accelerate ……
Although these are short films, this is what Alien films is all about, NOT that crap rubbish Promepheus, Aliens Covenant crap. I'd rather watch a full film like these, rather than Promepheus, Alien Covenant.
I thought Prometheus was really good, as a stand alone film. Didn’t like Covenant though. The problem is Prometheus is a thought-provoking, thinking-man’s movie. People today can’t think to save their lives.
@@skc143psu Covenant, kind of just, didn't do it for me, it completely ignores all the films before it. As a stand alone spin off, maybe, but even then, Covenant was the worst one to date. Promepheus, was, okay-ish for me, but everyone was expecting a big battle between the Xenomorphs, aka Aliens, vs those bald headed big freaks from Promepheus, I was expecting some kind of big battle as well, not gonna lie, I was on the band wagon with that one too, with the possible sequel, prequal to Promepheus, but that's not what we got. I also heard there's another one in the making, but I dk what time line it will be set in, or 2hat the new film will have in store for us. I hope the Alien franchise, we get to see more of those bland headed big freaks from Promepheus, some may not like the new direction with Promepheus, but, I did enjoy the mystery, behind the story, with the engineers, black goo etc. But to be honest, I think, the franchise needs a little more ideas, but keep it realistic to the Alien films.
@@gabriellang7998 just less the comedy part. "an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect."
@@darttoyou1398 The reason I am saying these are not parodies, is because they were made in collaboration with franchise holder. Thus, these are "official" fan made episodes set in actual, alien franchise universe. They were made for a contest, with franchise holder blessings. A parody would be something made to ridicule, or input comical elements, into something. Like Star Trek Discovery being parody of Star Trek franchise for example. These here are separate, valid, story arcs set in aliens universe, hence why I disagree with use of "parody" world here :)
These are ok at best, but the main issue I have aside the overacting or overreacting is the overly dramatic music. As much as people hated ALIEN 3 the music there was used correctly and it was weird, but ALIEN RESURRECTION started doing this in placing overly dramatic music and now ALL ALIEN movies after, or most fan films based on ALIEN do this crap too. ALIEN was more suspenseful because the score was minimal, and ALIENS knew when not use score even when it was more of a militarized style. I have seen ALIEN fan films that are way better even when the effects are not as great like ALIEN INFESTATION part 1 and 2, and they pulled off the scare and tension so much more with a lower budget ironically. These have too much lighting as well and even the creatures are managed wrong. I guess the Dog droid was good but because the Dog was the only well used creature.
@@alfredgriffin1779 A comic reboot of the comic ALIENS Earth War. It allows the story of Alien 3 and Resurrection with a twist and keeps the story within the narrative of Ellen Ripley and Amanda Ripley respectively, allowing them to reunite along other characters once presumed dead. Issue 1 is being inked and hopefully once done, Issue two will follow till the whole story can be colored and posted.
