Yes Keith I think a lot of us are excited for the upcoming 4K for Aliens. In fact I will be pre-ordering my copy next week. I also have this Egg edition and I never regretted buying it - it's a beautiful piece.👍👍

Hello Keith, just wanted to say hi, and thank you for the great videos. I think it was about 2 years ago i started watching your videos. I really enjoy your way of doing it. I'm a 42 yr old guy from Denmark, i own about 800 movies now, a really mixed bag of stuff, but my favorite actors/genres, and what is the majority of my collection is: Everything Audrey Hepburn, JCVD, Stallone, Zombie movies, 80's stuff and loads of Italian movies, like a quarter of my collection.. loads of Giallo, Western and Poliziotteschi. The part of the booklet you showed is actually in Dutch, the other side that's upside down is in French I guess. That's a Benelux release, for The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Alien is my favorite franchise, lovely to see such an elaborate edition!

Hopefully ALIENS on 4K is a good transfer... I'll get my copy from HMV but will keep the repciept and return it if the transfer is DNR'd to death. I still think the original Blu-ray still looks stunning with nice grain structure. My only wish now would be to see a release of ALIEN 3 with a 4K restoration clean up I'm sure ALIEN 3 would look like a NEW movie with a 4K restoration of the original camera negative. For me, ALIEN 3 is the final film for me which closes the series nicely. All the set pieces of ALIEN 3 would look stunning in 4K

Hi Keith, I just saw your review about the Alien set!, it's a nice review, and i also got this edition @home and its marvelous. Just carry ony what you are doing !! great work. Only bust doesn't light up when i try to switch it on...but besides that, its great. Only one note : the booklet is not in French...it's in Dutch :) and i am Dutch so.... that's why i reconised it immediately :) but besides that, i like your reviews.

this has been one of my favorite pieces of my collection for years! it was actually a DVD set when i bought it, but i've since replaced the DVDs with the blu-rays and the 4k of ALIEN, and there was also room to put in PROMETHEUS and COVENANT, because i was able to ditch the bonus discs, since all those extras are on the blu-rays. it's gonna get a bit tight in there when i get the 4k of ALIENS soon, and even tighter if and when i buy ROMULUS 😁 but i love having them all consolidated in one set. oh, and your video has just saved my set! normally i'm so careful to never leave any batteries inside collector's sets, but after i saw your video i checked, and i had really forgotten to remove the batteries from this one! of course one battery had leaked and the blue stuff was all over the battery compartment, but i was able to clean it all out, phew! and i was happy to find that it still lights up! so thank you! i hope you can get yours to light up again, too!

This is a beautiful edition, Keith, The statue is gorgeous, what a piece. Hope you sort the light out on it. The first two Aliens are my favorites.

Hi Keith, Cool looking collectors edition on show here, they do some wonderful editions in France but the few times that i have purchased movies from there its usually set French subtitles on the english audio so i"m hoping its not the case with these movies in this excellent anthology set. Nice & high quality detail on the alien statue, love the first two movies which are classics & do plan on getting the "Aliens" 4K release, thanks for sharing as i"ve never seen this edition before Keith, great video.

Reminds me a bit of the massive plastic facebuhugger edition VHS in the early-mid 90’s which I wanted so much at the time and glad I didn’t buy.

Funny how I am still learning about some of these premium releases. I just came across another Alien release from Film Arena I did not know existed. Awesomeset...wish I had. And is one of my favorite movies and getting more copies on different formats and versions.

Theres an Alien movie and an Alien show. Heard good things about the up and coming movie this year. Agreed, though, Alien is in my top 5- even saw it in the theater. Why my psycho dad thought it was ok to watch at 7yrs old I have no idea, but thx. Speaking of Alien, I just got an Alien clone today- The Titan Find aka Creature movie with Klaus Kinkski. Ive been debating a 4k Anthology cause I have the blu ray set and love it- but y'know. Love the box set- never have seen it before.

Great video Keith. I love the Alien films. The 4th is my least favourite but its still Aliens. Lol. Cant wait for Aliens on 4k, might have to import the US version as it comes out sooner. Its a top 5 film for me for sure

I have seen these sets on ebay and would really like to have it as Alien is still one of my favorites. I did enjoy both Promtheus and Covenent and hope Ridley Scott gets to complete the story to fill the gap to the original.

I have the same edition (but UK). It looks it's best when it's lit up. You'll have to try and get it repaired if possible.

Very Nice Keith, I have the US version of this set although without the statue. Regarding Aliens 4K, I did already see the transfer and while it's quite sharp, most of the grain is gone so it is what it is.

Lovely edition mate, i had the Anthology blu ray steelbook, then sold it to get the alien film 6 film steelbook, both pretty rare but the 6 film ( zavvi) is the trickiest to find as it sold out immediately ( a long time ago now)

Hey Keith, pretty awesome addition, shame it’s not lighting up Hopefully it’s something you can access. Definitely let us know if you get it working. obviously a huge fan of the franchise and I have the American box set and I think they look incredible so I can only imagine what it looks like on 4K. i’m hoping the new aliens release lives up to what it should be. I’ll never understand the lackluster Disney 4K releases back in the day the Disney DVDs, and even the early blue rays the sound and picture literally jumped off the desk. always been a defender of the third Fincher film as having to follow Aliens wouldn’t be tough enough with the studio interference and everything. I think it’s a lot better film than what most people give it credit for like you said, I would’ve loved to seen his original vision, always impressed how the alien moved in that film so cool. have a great one as always.👍

Probably you’ll just need to put in a new battery. I think it’s a 9 volt. I can’t fully remember but I do remember I had to change mine. I got mine back when the set was first released here in the U.S. but I had my entire collection in storage since 2014 and I didn’t get it all out of storage until 2019 and when I checked and changed the battery I was relieved to find that it was the fix. I’ve kept mine in its box. I also had the DIE HARD NAKATOMI PLAZA set but that box got really messed up and I had to toss it.

Keith, I fell the same way with regards to the first two movies being fantastic. Sequels are okay, watchable, but yeah, the same as the Terminator franchise. Hopefully, Romulus delivers. Fantastic boxset. I would love to own that but it would take up too much space for me. I'm already onto my third bookcase. I have four altogether, but they will be filled by the end of the year. I started collecting when Blu Ray first hit the market then took a long break, as I also collect videogame nostalgia. I've stopped Collecting Videogames and consoles now, and solely concentrate on movies. I'm just happy that i've managed to get some of the Arrow boxsets that I missed out on through Ebay etc. I hope the transfer of Aliens is good. Just recently bought the Ultimate Matrix 4K Collection that comes with Animatrix on standard blu ray. I was quite surprised with how well the movies look on 4K. I would love a Puppet Master 4K Collection. All the best Keith! 👍

Always thought that was a cool edition and its such a shame we dont see many like it anymore. Theres almost no chance we get any kind of 4k alien boxset either. I just pre ordered the us version of aliens on 4k there myself and such a shame about our uk version. Dune 2 was very good Keith.

Hi Kieth , Just wanted to mention i`ve got the Alien burst, with light working "somehow", i can send you a picture with in on, mine is also a little defect with the light, the switch is not always working. I`ll send the picture on facebook. :)

Hey Keith! Such a nice set... One of the best film series of all time, goes without saying. My ranking: 1. Alien 2. Alien 3 3. Aliens 4. Alien Covenant 5. Prometheus 6. Alien Resurrection So another thing: in a recent video you explained how you was on your phone one night in bed, trying to figure out, if you have a certain film on dvd. Can I ask you what you use to keep track of your collection?

Prometheus, epic film for me and watched countless times, but not sure if the 4K release had anything special regards packaging? I think as this series isn't finished, i.e. Alien, perhaps getting the individual films is best, though an Alien & Prometheus set would be interesting...

Both the newer Aliens were horrible and just weird. Luckily I was able enough to pick it up from the local thrift store years ago to watch.

Alien Resurrection was written by Joss Whedon, and it shows. It has some ok moments (Winona Ryder being the stand out). But yeah…….. one step too far.

Not a fan of the statue. It makes no sense and the scale is completely off. The egg is nowhere near as big as an alien.

I’m not impressed with that at all. Looks like a big plastic mess. No detail on the top of the egg and the bottom looks terrible. Maybe it looks better lit up
