My only concern is when this takes place. If it’s before the Ripley timeline, then it goes against everything Ripley was trying to do. Hopefully it takes place in between Alien3 and Resurrection
I think Alien 3 and 4 should be in the same dumpster as AvP. I liked District 9 dude's idea of Ripley and Hicks going back because the company is experimenting at the Juggernaut.
there have been leaks about the show and we know way more than the little synopsis. lead girl is a highly experimental type of synthetic called Wendy. the ship that crashes on earth is a Weyland Yutani ship called USCSS Maginot (and was carrying the Aliens), and the tactical squad are part of a private military group owned by Prodigy Corp, a rival company to WY. The other lead character is nicknamed Hermit and is a medic for that squad. Timothy Olyphant plays a synthetic that oversees Wendy.
There are talks of the “Prey” director and the “Alien: Romulus” director getting together to do an AVP movie. I hope it happens. We just need it to be in the future with the Space Marines. That’s how you do AVP right.
If you want to make a series. Make Alien: Hadley Hope and stretch out that and show the breakdown of the colony station on LV-426 and Newt trying to survive. That I want to see.
Mysterious craft, okay so where did it come from, why was it sent and how does it connect to the over arching Alien plot. I dig this plot line so far, has potential.
I’m excited but cautious. I love the idea of an Alien tv show. FX does good, The Strain is one of my all time favorite shows…. But canonically aliens and earth? Let’s just not 😅
My problem with this isn't the talent behind it, but the timeline placement of the show. Its set before everything thats come out. It ruins what Ripley was attempting to prevent in the original films and spits on the mythology of the prequels regardless if people love them or not. I hate it when franchises do that and just disregard prior entries.
Hope its good but expectation is low. Its going to have to be real good to get over that yawn inducing plot line. I was kind of hoping for a show about Weyland-Yutani.
Sound’s cool, a funny twist on the premise could be is this group actually thinks they are going in after a predator only to discover it’s something far worse.
Maybe if it turns into a Cataclysmic apocalyptic alien landing and xenomorphs wiping out human race out into extiction and humans last ditch to survive could work as multiple seasons if done right
I .... Hate this idea. To me this sounds like AVP 2 without the P and stretched out to a series. It's just another Alien thing that is messing with the continuity of the Alien Mythos. Alien, Aliens and Alien: Romulus was great. I mean as bad as they are A3 and resurrection didn't jump the timeline. Don't get me wrong an Alien apocalypse sounds great watching humanity become extinct is an amazing idea but the AVP series ruined that for me.
If you are invested in the characters and the story by the end of season 1, you won’t need to rely on the xenomorph carrying the show in later seasons. It will be a show that is good enough to stand on it’s own that happens to be in the Alien universe. I’m hoping it’s great.
Their is a comic called Alien: Earth War. Read that. Came out a long time ago, very well received. We also have AVP which is based off a comic too/is on earth. (not the 2nd one, that is garbage.)
I enjoyed Alien: Romulus but much like with Prey I won’t quite say that I’m all that excited about additional offerings from the franchise quite yet, I feel like the franchise needs to impress me a little more before I can start being excited about something from them beforehand
lol I don’t watch horror. I watch everything else, and am typically the pundit on here who watches the most television (and doesn’t nail on the shows so I can give a full critique). But okay buddy 😂
Are we ever getting a colonial marines show or movie dealing with the xeno’s again or has Ridley Scott wiped his ass with them as a fuck you to Cameron along with the queen, since his greasy old fingers are all over anything in the franchise these days, let’s face Romulus was good but then Scott’s interference started to show towards the end with the all the black goo stuff and 3D printing face huggers instead of a queen.
Well the Marines did get a shout out in Romulus at least. Give it time. The more successful the franchise gets the more likely we will get a colonial Marines show. But your right about Ridley Scott. I like the guy. But he is a sour puss unfortunately.
@@ForgottenMovieGems In EVERY film, AND now tv show? Let's give a male character an opportunity for once. We've seen enough of the female action hero in these films, its boring now and predictable.
@@peterlenham3180there are white males in damn near everything video games movie etc. One franchise wont kill you to have women. Are white dudes always this fucking self absorbed. Anything that's not white male lead its a issue. And lets not even talk about if their black you really lose it then.
@TheWhills it's boring and repetitive, all alien fans ask is the same first movie done over and over again. When they tried something new everyone was pissed off cause is not the same movie (lead girl, robot, space, alien) boom movie = everyone happy like why? It's the same movie all over again.
@TheWhills exactly they tried those and tons of people hated on it because it wasn't the typical alien movie (which i like a lot and Covenant to, and yes it has female lead which adds to my point of why keep doing the same female lead and the same movie just a little bit different.
@JonytobiUchiha im sorry, the idea of a movie being better or worse because of the sex of the main character is just something I cant understand. It makes no sense. Either your story is good or it isnt.
alien romulus was garbage i walked out 3 times for a smoke cause it was meh , when the girl opens the door then runs backwards and falls down the shaft er watever instead of closing the door i audibly went pfffftttttt out loud and it just got dumber after that soon as rthe "star" put the space suit on i walked out for good , the zero gravity scene was like what why not turn the gravity back on oh no cant cause then we wouldnt have the cliff hanger in the elevator shaft of it being on a timer ? and when there in that shaft all of a sudden they free fall up yet in the hallway they stay centered lol then the xenomorph saves her like wtf was that she should of got the tail threw her guts not oh here ill catch you and save you and put u on the ladder so u dont get hit by the elevator , then soon as it passes try to kill her like seriously ,then andy being a droid and every time he gets even bumped he spazzes out on the floor lmao garbage , first movie ive ever walked out of .to many wtf moments and not in a good way space station was already filled with aliens to like jesus lmao smh feels like a 10 year old wrote the movie
Do you know what pronouns are? It had had pronouns in every movie. The word “it” is a pronoun. Every time someone has referred to the xenomorph as “it” they were referring to it using pronouns
