I have this game and it is very good. I agree that some of the rules are a little ambiguous but given its price tag those rules are pretty easy to work out and house rule if needed as there isn't anything specifically complex. What it is does do is get across the claustrophobic nature of the film and the terror that every discovery might reveal the alien. And for the relatively cheap price point, its one I would recommend.

This was my first board game to buy as an adult. I love playing it. Definitely does well inciting a feeling of claustrophobia with the alien coming closer and closer to you each turn.

Reminds me of playing Space Crusade which was based upon Warhammer 40,000. Fun times which I have lots of nostalgia for.

just ordered for 20 quid. cant say no to a 20 quid alien co op game. also only just started playing aliens another glorious 2 days ago after buying it in 2021 XD

Remake the Alien movie .... with all English crew ... and they can all play their roles like Ashens and Oliver .... discovering the merits of Flashlight stacking.... while the Alien politely waits and have tea

I saw today that they now have Poundland Monopoly. I hope Ashen does a video of that soon.

Nice nod to Alien Isolation with the use of scrap to help build items. I had the Batman: The Movie board game but I don't recall cardboard sticky things. I remember the board had 3 sections: a middle section, the axis chemical factory sided and the batcave side and a deck of batman cards. Can't remember much about it gameplay wise though. As for other games, may I suggest checking out Cheapass Games like: Before I kill You Mr Spy, Kill Dr Lucky, Give me the Brain or Lord of the Fries.

I had no idea about this game. Now, I need to find one in a suitable price to get it. Btw, have you played The Thing - Board Game?

This was brilliant folks. Great use of the license. I like the constant randomness. Made me want to play the fallout boardgame.

The Shinning board game?

The criticism about the Ash Final Mission not requiring you to deal with the Alien isn't quite fair, as it is actually part of that Final Mission: "VICTORY: Use an Incinerator on the Alien after Ash has been defeated." Though I guess that comes back to the criticism about the rules being slightly unclear about how things works, and somewhat confusing design choices. For instance having the "when Ash is defeated, remove Ash from the ship." sentence within the bullet point about what to do if you didn't deal damage to him is somewhat backwards. It really feels like the victory condition should have been part of the objective, or that the objective header should have been renamed something else.

I recently bought a board game for the 1991 classic 'The Rocketeer', but I did not know that there is currently a wave of board games for old movies. Very interesting!

In the Ash final mission You actually have to send the alien back to the nest using the incinerator after killing ash

Does feel like Among Us in the Alien universe. Don't have many co-op games, so might look into this one.

For Jurassic Park either try Dinogenics or Dinosaur Island.. In most cases the official licences are like the video games from the 80's and 90's..cheap money grabs.

The thing is another good board game.

If you want a true alien board game experience try NEMESIS from Awaken Realms.. It may not have the licence but it has the feeling of alien..
