Spaceboi Scapahandre I don’t remember this game ever really getting a lot of attention in the first place

Well, I saw Digital Foundry praise the port like crazy, so there has been some buzz.

Westinian Oh it did, it’s just that was five years ago, and during a time when so many other big hitters were coming out too

Spaceboi Scapahandre not saying it wasn’t rememberable but I think it was the evil within that out shined it a bit and I think a lot of people were scared to play it lol and would rather watch videos on it. Oh and I do remember that the sales at first didn’t do well do to alien colonial marines no one wanted it at first and preorder sales were low

@@westinian5502 Alien: Isolation did win Game of the Year from PC Gamer, though, and PC Gamer is the biggest PC reviews site. I don't remember The Evil Within winning any GOTY awards.

@Phantom Thieves The thing is, Aliens Colonial Marines released previously in the same year in 2014 and was absolutely horrible, so it made a big negative hit on the Alien franchise, especially any upcoming games with Alien in it. Isolation would have sold better if Marines had not released.

If only metroid prime 4 could look as good as Alien isolation i'll be happy puppy.

Likely because of the game's (relatively) low initial price. After the price of the cart and distribution, it's likely it has small profit margins for a re-release/port and little room for price-drops. Although I guess they could just charge more for physical, but the big publishers seem to hate doing that. They like price parity. If it were an indie dev, sure they'd love it. But Sega probably has high standards in terms of profits, and are banking on people who want the physical to cave in and buy the higher margin digital release. Since the game is kinda niche, and an old game being ported, a physical presence in stores might be seen as a waste (wouldn't increase sales and awareness for such a niche game). That's just a guess on my part. Personally I think it looks super fun and I want it badly.

You should, but If you do I highly recommend you play it with headphones and lights off, that's the best way to enjoy it. Especially when the sound effects are amazing on this game.

How? Big screen with surround speakers is scarier imo

@@Big_Dai not really...being able to play games on the go? Alien isolation is a great game and I've played it on xbox one. Still enjoying wherever I go on the switch. Black flag and witcher as well. Also, they seem to hold their value on switch so in any case it's currently an investment if I want to keep it or trade it in for another game. What's stupid is someone criticizing someone else's actions that have no effect on you...

I said the same thing for Outlast, which was in physical form for limited time but decided to just go digital. Still good and have thr gamr OTG
