i finally got the balls to finish the game (not in this video). it wasn't pretty, i died a lot but it's done and i can finally procrastinate on finishing this series properly.

it makes it easier for the alien to see you if you hold the flame thrower out, walking also makes it easier for the alien to find you, crouching in situations like the server room is the best way to get out quickly and with minimal "interactions" with the alien. keep it up i know you can finish it, you got this

Here are some facts about the aliens AI: The more times it kills you, the more it learns how you play Using the flamethrower too much makes the alien get more immune to it Staying in 1 place for too long will let the alien know your exact location due to a hot and cold type AI system

@@bollodeath9141 I finished the game for a friend (they got too scared to play anymore) and due to the immunity feature, I only ever used the flamethrower in the late stages of the game and it wasn't on the "Alien Drone"!

Smol tip for anyone also wanting to play this game for the first time If you get the Flamethrower don't walk around while holding it. Using it should always be your last option bcs you'll run out of fuel fast af. I even think that walking with the Flamethrower pulled it attracts the Alien faster than usual (making it drop and search for you). Also shooting in 4-5 short bursts (spamming LMB) is more efficient. Over the course of the game the Alien will be less influenced by the fire - meaning you'll need more bursts so be prepared for that :D *Don't get me wrong, watching him like this is entertaining but if you're struggling with Fuel or you get frustrated just think about this comment :)

@extrahigh you definitely should have explored that door at 3:00. You also gonna need to conserve ammo for the flamethrower, just do some quick tabs, thats usually enough to scare the alien away. The alien will try to run to the nearest vent in the sealing, so you gonna need to be mindful of where they are and stay out of the alien's route to it. You can build some stuff. I don't know if you know this and I'm too lazy to check it out on your previous videos for that, but here's a nother tip. You can start building stuff and leave the components there before you finish building it. That will open some free space for more components in your inventory. You can do this even if you are full of said stuff. PS: by stuff I mean things like Molotovs, emp grandes, meds and so on.

One more thing I forgot. You still better sneak your way as much as you can. The flamethrower should be your last resort when dealing with the alien and for the amount you ended up spending till the end of the video, you definitely gonna need to conserve even more ammo. Thrust me, you gonna need it for what's to come.

20:00 from what i understand the code for the alien will target any human (npc and you) so depending on how it works for the bait, they might have put her there so that the alien follows where you are going a bit more(she would be a bait for the bait

nah walking doesn't make it drop. it almost always drops again soon after you scare it off. and on novice difficulty the only reason you need to crouch is to get out of sight.
